Looking for a specific mixer

Post by homeslice1479 » Fri Oct 16, 2020 9:54 am

I've searched quite a bit on this and am still looking for suggestions.

I need a small-ish mixer with 3-4 inputs that can be mono, but also has aux send/return that's either full stereo or mono out/stereo in. I want to make a 4-tier Moog setup with one of each Moog semi and 60hp of modulation & effects. Probably gonna put Mimeophon in there and would LOVE to have a mixer that could send all three Moogs to it. I know stuff like the WMD Performance Mixer can do that but I'm looking for far fewer inputs and obviously much less hp.

What are my options?
Pittsburgh 360 case: 2xDFAM, M32, 1010 Music Tool & BitBox, Intellijel Planar 2, Quad VCA, Plonk & Output, 2xDisting mk4, Pam's New Workout, Strymon Magneto, Make Noise Mimeophon, Mutable Marbles, Befaco STMIX

RackBrute w/ MiniBrute 2S: Neutron, Yarns, Hexinverter Mutant Bassdrum & Snare, Maths, Intellijel Quad VCA, Buff Mult & Mixup, Strymon AA.1, Pico DSP, Befaco Out V3

Check out Happy Nerding's 6HP mixers. The one in particular I've been looking at for something similar is the PanMix Jr, but they have a 3-ch stereo mixer as well and a larger version of the Jr-- the PanMix. There stuff is usually pretty thought out, adding features you might not have thought of.

I have the Performance Mixer, and it's got room for you to expand in the future--so don't be too quick to rule it out. For a smaller, but capable mixer, I like the XAOC Praga a lot--lots of cv control with two stereo aux returns.

Tex Mix is modular, so you can build up what you need. 2 fx sends.

Cosmotrinic Cosmix might do the job.
