Well first, let me say that this looks amazing.

But I'll be that guy for the sake of the forum.

You list the power specs as "Current draw: +12V @ 24 ma. and -12V @ 32 ma." But what about the inrush current?

Case in point: I wanted to get the ADDAC Gotharman Tube VCF but my TipTop Mantis case can't power it up. Any word on which cases/PSUs can handle your new beauty?

Thanks.

Thanks - and great point about inrush current.

These tubes are VERY low current filaments @ 1.2V. Inrush on the -12V side is limited by a 750 ohm resistor, so the MOST current (assuming a short circuit) is 12 / 750 = 0.016A (16 ma). I doubt there will be any problems. :guinness:

I love the way this sounds.

Total rookie question here. Is it fairly easy to replace the tube when needed?

Tube is soldered / wired in, so you would need to do a DIY - unfortunately.

Awesome! Thanks for the fast reply. Low power requirement and sounds great - seems like you knocked it out of the park on this design (well, you and Ken Stone, with all due respect to you both :hail:).

I can't swing the price right now but will definitely keep this on my radar. Is stock expected to be very limited? Not sure how common these tubes are...

Thanks on behalf of myself and Ken (CGS) Stone.

We've bought quite a few of the tubes and SynthCube also has stock ATM.
