Behringer 960 Seqential Controller availability

Does anyone know why it is taking so long for these modules to be in stock at synth dealers? I have been waiting 4 months for mine. Any thoughts?

I want one pretty bad. I have about 84hp of open space and I am worried I might fill it up before I get one.

At one point, I think Detroit Modular had them; however, they sold out pretty quick. You can buy them from Thomann, a German company. I’m in Ohio, and if I place an order on Sunday, I should get it UPS by Wednesday, faster than most vendors in the US! From what I remember, it may be a bit more expensive, but nothing dramatic. The store has pretty much all the available modules.

Yeah, I snagged mine from Detroit when hunting for them. I'm sure it was intentional to get the easier less interesting modules out first so you buy them waiting for the ones you wanted most that are not in the US.

Reminds me, years ago went to a dealer with new old stock Roland System 100M. At a certain point they had cases with 5x the dual VCA, that's all. Lots of them. So my friend would say, Wow! Roland Modulars!. And I'd say what are you going to do with 10 VCAs unless you are adding them to a bigger system that I know you won't own.

I wonder if part of the deal Behringer made with Sweetwater means no one else carrying them? A lot of places are discounting Behringer stuff a lot right now.

Yeah... I saw this too. I hope that is wrong and they will begin to produce them again. Vintage King told me (as of a couple of months ago) that Behringer's intent is to produce more, they are just behind schedule.

I received on today from Thomann. But I live in Germany. It’s ok but the 2 Make Noise pressure points with the brains I once had are better concerning feeling of the knobs, function and usability.

I got impatient and just ordered one from Thomann since they're in stock. $181.44 shipped to New Orleans via UPS...around $30 more than from Sweetwater after taxes, so not too bad.

I am in Ohio, and I can get stuff from Thomann faster than most US shops. If I place an order on Sunday, it will arrive on Wednesday.
