I searched around and didn't find much on this here or on YT. I know this is basically the Dark Energy synth in Eurorack format, but was wondering if anyone has used it and had and opinions, pro or con.
Thanks so much!

I have the mini-voice version of this, and as an analogue voice, no complaints - very solid and yet capable of liquid sounds at the same time.

I much prefer Nanozwerg Pro, it's probably my favorite analog synth that i've used, and i got it for like 120euro.. Better than Atlantis, better than my BOOG or my Pro-1 Behringer.. not as capable as something like the Moog SUB-37, but to me it has a sound i like way more. The Dark Energy (i've had both) are good but far from my favorites that i've used.
It's all down to what you like i guess. I'm into acid and techno and for that i don't think there's anything better for the money if you can find one.

I have one and have been very happy with it. Pro /Con is it's size, which really isnt very large at 24hp. I dont mind larger modules.
The machine, as far as i be concerned, pretty much is a WYSIWYG workhorse. Solid Doepfer build, sound, aesthetic.
I also have the mini version, the A-111-6, stationed next to the A-111-5, friends forever. I use em both for all kinds of different uses and really have no complaints.

Thanks for the thoughts. Happiness Forever, I think you convinced me with "WYSIWYG workhorse"

We have two Doepfer A-111-5 modules since 2013 and these are two great voices, always ready to quickly test new ideas. In the same bunch we have a Cwejman VM-1, very good too but not easy to find. The Doepfer is top.
