send / Stereo Return Mixer

Hey there,

IM searching for an Eurorack Mixer modul which has a Stereo Return. Is there something else on the market than the WMD Performance mixer?
Better would be less than 8 channels.

Toppobrillo Stereo Mix 2 has a mono send / stereo return. It's a great mixer.

The tesseract tex mix has a dual mono send / stereo return with pre/post mix. It's pretty reasonably priced as well

Make Noise Rosie is an Output module which has a mono send/stereo return inbuilt, and can be mixed with two other mono signals.

Befaco HexMix+Hexpander has stereo return but mono send. Very nice unit, pretty big. I've found the headphone amp to be pretty noisy but the direct outs and master out seem to be pretty clean. It's pretty extra with the EQ matrix. The mutes are a wonderful feature. I often end up using pairs of the 6 tracks as stereo, panning each track hard left/right. It's slowly getting pushed out of my rig into a separate rack for recording, finding that I'm using it less for performance.

Has anyone tried the pin matrix mixers like the Instruo lion as quasi- effects send?

One thing to note that surprises some people; if you’re trying to incorporate external effect units (or other line-level devices), you’ll likely need to attenuate on the way out and amplify on the way back in. Some mixers do that, many don’t.

I use the XAOC Praga with Hrad expander... really happy with it. There are many good options in outboard “non-Eurorack” mixers (which can be less-expensive). Prior to the Praga, I used a Mackie 1202VLZ.

Definitely take advantage of mdoudoroff’s comparison guides, they’re great stuff.

Happy with the QSC from Frap Tools with the group channel, or you could use any stereo mixer for your returns.

If your only concern is 1 send and a stereo return you shouldn't have too much hassle finding something - the mixer list is a great place to start.

Yes, it has. But Praga becomes much better with the Hrad expander. Check it out on the Xaoc website.
