4x St.Mixer is 4 HP quad stereo mixer.
- Right inputs are normalled to Left inputs for easy mono operation
- Several 4xSt.Mixers can be chained together or with other HN stereo modules via sockets on the back side
- DC coupled signal pass, thus can be used as CV mixer too

One more channel than Hyrlo in the same HP. Very nice!

On the back, I assume there are both inputs and outputs for chaining (duh). Do they work with the other modules that can be chained, for example, PanMix and PanMix Jr?

Yes, exactly - IN and OUT connectors on the back to chain with other stereo Happy Nerding modules.

Yess! I'll use that as send-mixer for the FX aid and the Hyperion. So I'll get two. :-)

When I think of "stereo mixer," I think that should include some pan controls... or is that just me?

If those are the same like the one on the 2xSAM it might work (but to my shame I never really tried it) -> viewtopic.php?t=220262#p3204558

You could patch the same source in 1 left and 2 right and would get a pan from the relationship of 1 and 2 pot.

These look great, I've been considering a compact stereo mixer.

How do these chain together? I haven't been able to find a picture of the back of the HN modules or any more information. Is it a T(R)S socket or a 3-pin socket or something else?

I assume it is the same 3pin socket as on the other HN modules. For example the 2xSAM. You can find some pictures of the back and the cable here -> https://schneidersladen.de/en/happy-nerding-2xsam

On audio quality, is it exactly the same as 3x Stereo Mixer ?
Or are there compromises made to shrink the width ?
Thanks !

Thanks! I hope the pinout is the same. It can be remedied if not.

Availability is a bit limited for all my dual knob designs at the moment, because dual potentiometer manufacturer can not provide them faster than with 6 months waiting time.
Regarding the quality: it uses SSI vca chips, so the measurements figures can not be the same as with potentiometer-opam design, but anyway XX times better than a common 13700 VCA has. Plus it has a noticeably less variation between L and R channels volume compared to stereo potentiometers’ designs.

With the emergence of all those stereo modules lately I think what is really missing is a stereo matrix mixer. I know it can be patched, but being stereo that comes with a huge amount of stackables or multiples. The dual knob design would be great to have a 4->2 stereo matrix mixer.

I took the liberty to make a little mock-up:
stereomatrix2.jpg
or maybe even better have 2 CV inputs in the middle section one for Master A one for Master B with +5v normalisation so the 5th dual pot would be master level A & B.

I would jump on it. If there would be 2x stereo aux-in A & B on the back you could expand this with one "4x Stereo Mix" for each bus A & B.

Sorry for hijacking this thread but I was dreaming of a stereo distribution system that can be placed all over the rack connected via internal connections for a long time. Following setup and example would be an expandable dream come true.

Thats eleven! stereo channels and seven of them having access to the "FX-send" in 16hp.

It is DC Coupled, so can be used to mix CVs too.
