Eurorack and Acoustic Classical Instruments

Post by donpuzo » Sat Mar 27, 2021 9:39 am

I would like to propose a thread about pieces of music made with eurorack and acoustic instruments from the classical and contemporary musical tradition. I don't mean instruments sampled or processed by eurorack (this thread already talks about it) but chamber pieces in which acoustic instruments and synthesizers appear together.

I imagine that I am not the only one who is also interested and/or trained in contemporary classical music and I propose to share videos, audios and even scores of creations in which eurorack modular synthesizers intervene.

I throw the first stone: Compression Music, a 50 minutes piece for soprano, piano, vibraphone/snare, sound engineer (has a relevant role in the score in some of the movements) and modular synthesizer and sampler. We recorded a video excerpt:

Please, feel free to post more examples.

I met Isaac at a festival last summer, he talked about other pieces there for harp and eurorack and stuff like that. Cool guy, very young too :)

I'll try to be aware of other pieces by him with eurorack! Feel free to post links of his music if you know it! Thanks!

Here's two friends & I absolutely love this piece. Not eurorack technically but hope it's allowed ;)
