That was actually my first thought as well... ;o)
On second thought, Cyclebox, Maths, QMMG might be even better...

Ah Ha! Another beginning question, where are you all getting these photos from?

Well I'm totally sold on MATHS it looks useful...

Scaffs portable case is pretty rad, with the pressure points one could play a banana system that is patched in via format jumbler.

mine; the TR-606 has found a new home, as i've been tweaking my machinedrum to get some really good clock pulses from the GND machine. the El Capistan however, is staying :

If I were you I would just convert your LBB to 1/8th inch.

Yes I thought about that too, but the LBB is so great for quick patching I think I'll use it to form some jumps and process it with the other stuff. Dunno, this is getting excited, I'm psyched.

Maybe short attention span and noise from tape loops in the background?

Was always interested in one of those. Every time they came up on ebay they went for slightly more than I was willing to pay.

I ended up hooking up a deal on a case and some doepfer modules right here where I live.

That means that this week I'll have a wogglebug, PLL (sorta random but it was cheap), a VC mixer with the morphing module and one of the doepfer LPF's.

I'm still gonna go for a LBB patched in via Format jumbler...

I'm gonna try to find something similar to one of the cases posted earlier that was mostly doepfer and mostly small modules that are cheap.

Start simple and see what happens. I know I still need a lot but its a place to start, plus I've heard that mixers and VCA's are super important and not to be overlooked. So I am thinking I'll start with boring stuff (excepting the WB) and learn the ropes.

Trying to get my post count up while I learn since I know y'all have the non-flashy shit waiting to get into my 6U, yes I went for a bigger case!

The symmetry on the bottom case is pretty interesting. I actually had thoughts about that, building something symmetrical that would almost play itself.

@ Scaff and Rydan:

What is the HD? and how impossible is it to get a QMMG, it seems like everyone on this board raves about them, not sure why MN wouldn't want to make more...
HD is Hertz Donut. Wonderful sick dual digital oscillator with fantastic ability to FM itself to orgasm.
If I was going small, I suppose I'd go Donut and Maths for sure. QMMG makes sense although yeah hard to find nowadays. Wogglebug or Noisering for random and clock. I guess you're set.

The wogglebug is has a lot of possibilities if you spend time experimenting with it. Just patching it within its self is a lot of fun. I think the best way to get to know it is with only a couple/few other modules.

That is the plan right now. Keep it simple and cheap with doepfer to experiment with single 'complex' modules...

got a single row goiks case on its way to me, so my system is going to be small (limited to 104hp). mostly used for sound generation, little processing necessary, here is what I am pondering:

hertz donut
tyme sefari
double andore
sport modulator
pressure points + brains
uzeus power

this leaves 11hp. thinking of filling it with a polivoks vcf or the sound of thunder + an 8hp filter.

if goiks is able to get the uzues moved to the side of the cab in the future, then I'll probably do the polivoks vcf + sound of thunder + intellijel unity mixer.

@ tubeamp guy, that little set up right there is hours of fun.

I found a used wogglebug, it is indeed fun and pretty close to a instrument in a module style device, with enough work you can make it do things and not just marvel at its quirks....

theantiroman, That is the VERY reason I bought Doepfer Beauty Case!
Small set up! :tu:
The Makenoise Wogglebug is my all time FAVORITE module, Another close second is the HARVESTMAN HD. But I can't fit the Borg 1 in the case with it. :ripbanana:

Certainly.

For signal processing I could also see myself going a long way with a Maths, R51 and an MMF-1. Or maybe I should just buy another Sherman Filterbank...
