This is the first time i'm ordering something that isn't a full kit.

Here's my project/cart over at mouser. can someone please validate that i haven't done some beginner's mistake?

the cart contains materials for 4x PCBs + extras either because of price thresholds or for some few simple side projects.

Have all the jacks and wire, but need the typical eurorack connector header and don't know what to search for.

Hey fellas.

Finished the build today, sounded great for 5 minutes then ran into a problem.

There is a very noticeable noise coming from the module whenever audio is sent to the input even when the freq pot is fully closed.

The sound has no relation to what is being sent Audio wise to the input.

It is a kind of "rubbing fingers over a microphone coupled with the sound of loads of mice running round in the roofspace" sound and is constantly evolving rather than static.

In another world it might be quite nice but it's obviously a sign that I have done something wrong.

Any ideas?

It doesn't happen when the input jack is plugged in, only when audio is sent it the input and even when sending sound with filter open you can always hear it in the background.

Thanks.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but it's quite a long thread.
I'm newish to diy and my first time ordering parts.

For the...'Ferrite bead or 20Ohm resostor - 2 '

Is that just the 1/4 watt Carbon 20 ohm? Cheers

For anyone that's on the fence about this I'm filming an overview video of the module over the next few days and have started this thread - viewtopic.php?p=1532611#1532611 - so people can ask questions and suggest things they'd like to see in the video. In order for me to keep track of everything please comment on the subject there rather than here.

Also users of the module any great patches you want to share that I should show off? I'll credit everyone for patch ideas and the like.

Hi, is everyone here using regular 3.5mm jacks? Those I have here seem always bit to wide to fit the panel. Will erthenvar jacks fit? I have none right now, but already ordered some.

I used erthenvar and needed to scratch the paint a bit..
finally it functioned well.
