With those sequencer already in possession I'd say no. :miley:

Any updates or is this dead????
we are expecting new panel/pcbs sets soon-- however we will not be offering full kits, as we've been informed that kits will be produced by others (not for this run, but for future runs)

If we can arrange to buy future kits in addition to the pcb/panel sets we will offer those as well

Hi, i have some questions about this sequencer. I do not know him at all, but i'm interested because i'm building my TTSH. I wanted to use a simple CV / gate sequencer, one of my x0xb0x for example. So i wonder what would the 1601 bring me more like features? And can we synchronize the 1601 with other gear, such as sync with a TR606 or clone 808 yocto?

Use the trigger out from your yocto/808/909 and patch it to the step input jack on the 1601

Is this sequencer just for the ARP2600 or would it work fine with Eurorack, i.e. is is 1v peroctave quantisations and is the volts or power etc ok with the Eurorack power 12v max i think it is?

Looks like a great project i'd defo be interested if i could use it with my Euro!!!

Yes you can use it with Eurorack and I suspect many already do, as it is standard 1V/Octave. However it outputs a 14V gate signal so you may need to clamp it to whatever maximum gate signal your modules can handle using a series resistor of approx 47k (you may need to experiment with values according to the input impedance) and an appropriate zener diode (5V, 12V etc) between gate input and ground.

Hope this helps.

Maybe few miss this information,
I sell this 1601 pcb/Panel/boat sets.
This batch use a grey TTSH style colour for boat and Panel.
No rare parts, LM3046 and multiplexer is in SMT.
On my dsl-man.de website is a BOM and mouser card.

Here’s the link to my shop, this are the last kits from this batch,
Next run in other colour in few months.

Oak woodends are available very soon.

1601 R5 BOM

Post by JohnS_AZ » Thu Jan 18, 2018 12:59 pm

Just received my PCB/Panel/Boat (THANKS!) :-)

Now, I'm looking at the BOM and it is really a big mess from here. Is something wrong on my end, or is this google doc really a train wreck?

Yeah, that's where I got the link to the google doc BOM.

(confused a little bit)

Okay, I'll just use the Mouser cart AS the bom.
Though that won't really work.

So ... What, for example, tells me the value of R22? (or any other specific ref. des.)

The google doc is a export from the PCB design tool, only for pcb parts.

Screws M3 are not listed in the mouser cart, external wandwart is missing too.

I need to check whether this Mouser cart has the correct switches as the Rev 5 PCB now uses CW parts instead of Switchcraft with a different footprint, and the MC14528 and CA3046 are now SMD instead of through-hole.

My mouser cart is good, I built one sequencer with it.
The LM3046M isn’t listed in the Mouser card, i update it.
(I sell the Lm3046m in my shop too)

Please let me know.

This thing is going to be tricky. For example, the three 45mm slide pots...

- the BOM file says they are all 100K
- the cart says one is a log pot, and two are linear pots
- the PCB makes no indication of which is A and which two are B
- the guide just says solder them in.

- the schematic, you open it up, zoom way way in, hunt around for a good while, and there they are: R15 and R25 are linear, R14 is log.

Thank god I'm not a novice! :-)

i checked my mouser cart again, the LM3046M was included, no change here.

About the 100K slider:
(there´s a info in my guide from 14.January too)

JMLS imported the PCB files in his software, modified the switches and 3xSMT parts instead of hard to find THT parts, he exported the BOM.
at one point was a failure with the Slider value.

correct is: FM slider must be 100K log (the middle slider R14)

Thanks. I'll refer to the previous versions as well.

I don't see keycaps for the Cherry push buttons in the cart. Do you have a part number for them?

The caps are included in the pcb set,
They’re in a tape inside your box.
JMLS added it for free.

I have a few questions about the PSU for this designed by AMsynths?

Has anyone got any experience of this build?

would be worth documenting it here for others...

It seems that the latest batch of PCBs does not have the text annotations on trimmers and the sliders, making it a little harder to identify them for installation and later calibration in respect to the trimmers.

Please refer to the documentation on the first post of the Build Thread https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewt ... 62&start=0. Whilst this only covers PCBs up to and including Rev 4, everything except the SMD ICs and slide switches are still the same.

Had to stock up on a few parts for this, accidentally ordered 1/8W resistors for all the 1k
Does anyone know how much power they're expected to dissipate?
