It'll take $15 off the price if you don't want the faceplate.

The Mountain Switches are backordered for a few months at Mouser. It looks like these switches at Digi-Key are suitable replacements:
EG2447-ND
EG2451-ND
If you are ordering both the bassdrum and hihat kits, a few other Mouser parts are on backorder. Here are other options from Digi-Key:
NJM13700D-ND
399-5440-ND
399-5439-ND
EG2447-ND
EG2451-ND

Yeah those toggles will work for sure! I've used them before in the place of the ones from Mouser

Project documentation is now up! Sorry for the wait. By my watch the first people in Canada/US close to me should be receiving their PCBs/panels any day now

Yes, if there are vactrols on the next modules (there probably will be!), they'll also use the same oneswadesey wrote:About to order vactrols for this and the bass drum and was wondering if the same vactrols will be used in the clap and snare design? I'll order some extras if so...

Finally finishing the hi hats, a little confused by the stack up. Best I can figure (for the two headers on the side) put a female header on the control pcb, female header on the middle pcb (which long pins go through into the header on the control, and male headers on the top pcb. Is that right? Some of the electrolytics are kinda tall so it only works if some bare pin from the header is left exposed between top and middle pcb.

(Not soldered yet, just holding together)

Interesting...I have yet to experience this with all the times using these stacking headers! In fact, the headers I provide in the PCB set are sold as being used for stacking for Arduinos.jbdiver wrote:I'm pretty sure that's what I did on my build. I ran into problems, however, with the signal flow between the boards. I don't think the female headers with long pins are designed to stack. The flat long pins don't seem to make consistent contact with the stacked female header.

Did anyone try to put this behind a MOTM sized panel with big knobs and big jacks?
I'm really tempted to give it a go as soon as my backlog has evaporated...
Cheers,

As long as you follow the pinouts of the euro jacks and use switching jacks, shouldn't be any problemThe Big Ear wrote:Did anyone try to put this behind a MOTM sized panel with big knobs and big jacks?

Cheers,

Actually someone did it with a Bassdrum already, and I think they might be doing the HH eventually too:
