Got my 5U pcbs already

Whos going to be the lucky one to organize panel buys at schaefer?
I could possibly, but Im outside EU so would end up more expensive for all within.

Good to hear! Heads up for the panel files, I deleted all the 5u format specified mounting holes, so you need to add those, if you like to install the module to your cabinets :-)

I'm also collecting a "wish list" for 5U module, if there's enough orders (10+) I can do a second run in the future. Add your name if you'd want one.

yeah i also snoozed on it - i feel like the ease of all-in-one outweighs any benefits of separate euro modules so i'm also interested in a future run of 5U, thanks.

Hello
For those who want to build the kit, as there are plenty resistors, and it is not very easy to find their value, i scanned my "color sheets", if it can be helpful for someone ?

For my PDF file: Try fullscreen mode and switch between pages (RefDes & Values). That's how I build my last one!

Are there any pics of the finished module ?
...in particular the mechanical connections
maybe separate pics (of each side) of the PCBs before mounting

BTW, If you have strong opinions which way the pots should react for the mods, then it might be worthwhile to try the module out before designing your panel. Most of the pots work as a variable resistor (check the schematics), so for those pots it's easy to change the rotation just by cutting the trace and sorting the other pin to the wiper. I didn't put any 0-10 style scale to my panel graphics for this reason. Since this is SDIY, do what ever pleases you! ;-)

Did anyone managed to finish it yet ?
I am building mine. I soldered every resistors, diodes, and most of the capacitors.
I would be curious to see more pictures of the finished & populated PCB, and to hear it in action

A couple more questions : The BoM says "ceramic capacitors" for everything, but i guess it might be a typo ?
Is there anything special to know about the capacitors to use ?
For instance, for the 100nF, i have both Green Mylar, Box (Wima-style, but unbranded), and yellow multilayer monolithic ceramic caps : is there any better than others ?
For 2.2nF and 56nF, i only have green Mylar : will it be ok, or is it mandatory to use box type (from the picture it seems that you use only box type wherever possible) ?
For the 22pF, a yellow multilayer monolithic ceramic caps is fine, i guess ?

I used C0G/X7R/Wima, which ever I had, no audible difference in my opinion. 22pF / 220pF can be whatever you have. The correct value is more important. If you buy from mouser, I'd use c0g, but I don't think original has anything fancy.
