Dear colleagues, here's another development from Erica Synths - Grant Richter Wogglebug! A Wogglebug has nostalgic value for us, because in the beginning of 2014 a Wogglebug panel with a bug design was the first Erica Synths project we offered for DIY community and it actually started a company. Some month ago Scott Deyo from Brideschamber droped us a mail asking, if we plan to make another run of Wogglebug panels, and we took it serious.
We adapted Wogglebug for eurorack standart – recalculated component values to make it work properly from 12V PSU, added clock rate and stepped CV indicator LEDs, developed skiff friendly PCB, squeezed all parts on a signle PCB and made a new panel. The project is comparably easy to build, it doesn’t need wiring and calibration.

Sorry, they do not fit. I had to rearrange parts slightly.

Any insight on how this compares to the make noise versions? I prefer going the DIY route by I also want the fullest possible wogglebug experience.

Just waiting for the NP electro & LF398 for mine,
Some amendments to the build manual I would recommend -
SMD Caps - 10 not 13
Transistors - Board has Q3 as 3906 and Q1,2&3 as 3904 where as build manual uses designations T1 as 3906 and T2,3&4 as 3904 - may confuse some people.
Pots are labelled V1-6 in the build manual but nowhere on the PCB are these designations used, it might be best to use the Pot labels for descriptions of which ones go where - I'm still not sure!

Found the answer to where the pots go.
100Ks on the left - rate, cluster, rate cv
1Ms on the right - smooth, wogg t, wogg r

for people in the states, the vactrols and the pots can be found at smallbear and then mouser for everything else.

100Ks are marked "K"
1Ms are marked "M"

There are tons of threads with beginner diy suggestions.
The woggle bug may not be a good choice for beginners due to the SMD soldering of the 10 capacitors. It's not a difficult build if you watch some surface mount soldering tutorials and get some practice with SMD beforehand.
