I'm going to build two of these soon, and ordered most of the components from Tayda using the links provided in the BOM/build info doc.

That document lists 2 x 22uf electrolytic capacitors, but the Tayda link goes to the page for 0.22uf caps. Do I want 22uf caps, not 0.22uf caps?

Thanks for your work Timo (and Ian).

Go for 22uF. The link must be wrong. 220n is not a value electrolytics are commonly used for. 22uF is very common.

I did mine up all shiny with gold anodized knobs - what a nice little module! The normalling of the two envelopes is awesome; I wasn't expecting how fun that would be.

Hi,
I've got more TL084 lying around than 074. Can I substitute to the 084 instead? :despair:

I think that will be fine...
(just socket them to make sure you can swap them if needed)

I'm having a hard time finding the switches. It's the only thing I need, so ordering from mouser just for one part would be a waste of money. EOO doesn't really seem to be geared to customers from Denmark, I'll have to pay with bank transfer, which would make the switches as expensive as getting them from mouser.

I found these locally, would they work?

https://www.elextra.dk/details/H12580/v ... cost-oe7mm

Or some of these from tayda:

I don't think these 2 will work (tayda is not sub-miniature and elextra has probably to big lugs). I'd go for these on ebay
(and next time you should mention it before I ship the boards to you, I might be able to help :hihi: )

If I increase the value of the attack pot to 500KA will the attack time be doubled?

the maximum attack time will increase (not necessarily double time with double resistance I think), and perhaps the minimum value will increase a little too (I think the tolerance for minimum value increases a little for higher pot values)

Love this module. Added 6 slopes in 12hp to my live case for $75. Hard to beat for form + function.

Put this together last weekend, very nice and clean build. Thanks!

Any idea on estimated power consumption?

+12v : ~30mA
-12v : ~20mA
(might be a bit higher or lower depending on the leds you have chosen)

I built two of them yesterday. I had originally breadboarded the design, but since I was getting an FM ogre I figured I would buy a couple straight from timo. They are really nice! I had modded my breadboard version to loop (retrigger at EOF) and I might take a shot with one of these a bit down the road.

Thank you Timo

Anyone have a good source for the 250k pots in the US (or cheap enough to the US that it makes sense)? Tayda's out of stock and my Mouser pot sourcing abilities in this case are questionable at best...

(I'm considering going with the 500k ones from Tayda, but I'd prefer not to increase the minimum attack time at all, if possible.)
