hi, did you already ship one of those to the EU resp. Austria.?
Do you have a guess about shipping costs?
Will you do more of these and is it anyhow possible to use 2 of these to simultaneosly edit both layers of a jx10. if that's a stupid question please forgive, i don't have a jx10 yet but with your option, that may be my next move..
thanks

Hello, shipping to Austria is going to be $20 according to USPS International First Class shipping estimate.chrizzle wrote:hi, did you already ship one of those to the EU resp. Austria.?

I don't think that using 2 units simultaneously is possible. The JX can only scan incoming messages from 1 PG800 as far as I can tell. Changing that would require a firmware edit in the JX, which is beyond the scope of this project.

I'm not sure what other people's needs are but I'll probably be making mine for either an extruded enclosure or a Hammond boat with some nice wood end caps. I just like the aesthetics and strength of a solid enclosure for something that is likely to be banging around the studio for a long time.pieterv1 wrote:What's the purpose of the panels? This will work with all of the MKS-70 firmware. The synth sees it as a PG-800. The only issue I have seen with the firmware and PG800 is the WRITE button on the PG800. For some reason, this will not write your tone properly with some versions of firmware. A general rule of thumb for me is to always just use the WRITE function on the synth panel. In fact, I have been thinking about making the WRITE button on the PG800MINI just create a scratch patch.Simonm wrote:Hi there, I have an mks70, how do I find out if this is compatible with firmware I have? Not sure as I bought thenMKS second hand,
And if all is good, do You have any left?
Cheers
I think there's one or two more units available if you want one.

Hi all,
I've received the giant potentiometer order and have been building the last batch of units this week. All remaining orders will be shipping out tomorrow afternoon! If anybody needs the installation manual, or schematics, please check the PG-800 Mini listings on my website (www.RetroaktivModular.com) for links.
I've done Q&A testing on each fully assembled unit using my JX-8P and all have passed. If anyone has an issue, please contact me and I will help you to resolve it. Hopefully that's not necessary with anyone's units.
One other addendum: I have not yet included a section in the user manual about booting up in Vecoven 4.x mode. This mode will turn the WRITE button into a page 2 button, where all 40 extra parameters (PWM, LFO2, ENV1-ENV-4, etc) can be accessed. Page 2 also has a control for UPPER/LOWER BAL, VCA Aftertouch, VCF Aftertouch, and Vibrato Aftertouch. Note that Vecoven 4.x mode only works if you have upgraded your Super JX or MKS-70 using Fred's 4.x firmware.
I'm in the middle of working with Kiwi Technics to add a Kiwi Mode to the PG-800 Mini. Booting up in Kiwi mode will allow you to access the parameters added by their firmware upgrade. This will not be ready for a while, so I am adding everyone to an email list where I will notify you of firmware updates.
Once again, thank you all for supporting my product!
