So you tried to use pitch CV signals as drum triggers? That would explain a lot...
I used gate for the trigger and pitch for CV, as I pointed out several times now. Works with the SQ-1, does not work with the BSP.

I never wrote I used pitch CV for gate/trigger. This wouldn't make any sense imho.
... why buy it for $100 when you can build it yourself for $150?

So why did you quote that bit with the pitch control then? Just get over it an measure the gate outputs of the SQ-1 and the BSP with an oscilloscope and post the results. That should shed some light on the issue...

OK, this is my last try  .
1. I made a melodic line with a marimba-like sound.
2. This required different piches (=> CV) and different note values
3. The pitches were made using the CV.
4. The rhythm was made by using activated and non-activated steps on the BSP, like XXXXX_X_X_X_, with X as activated and _ as quiet.

No. Drum. Triggers. Used. Because. I. Then. Could. Not. Play. Different. Pitches.

This is nonsense. I wrote about situation A, and you suggested search for situation B with different circumstances. Monitoring drum triggers would help exactly nothing here because they are N/A in this case. As in, I didn't use them.

Apples and pears, really.

ok, my apologies. i missed this bit from your original post:
When the CV/pitch cable between BSP and SY-1M is connected, manually triggering the SY-1M also leads to 'click'-'bonk'.
it still makes sense to probe with an oscilloscope, but in this case further down the line (inside the Syncussion)

I finished mine quite some time ago...
Now in using it i noticed there is something wrong with it.

In modes B-E the sound disappears when the tune fader is below 50%.
It seems the OSC1 goes sub Audio frequency then

I resolderede all the ground solder pads and checked all components.
Anywhere else to look?
I just finished my build and have a similar problem - seems like the channel 2 has this same problem with the OSC 1 frequency being too low.

Maybe the hex invertor chips? The soldering seems good and the values the same on the bottom as the top. I'm quite happy to take this to a local tech, but figured I'd ask here to see if anyone had a suggestion on tracing the issue.
I've re-flowed the whole voice board and visually the components all match the upper (working) channel.

I've ordered some more CD4069 (Hex Inverter) - should be arriving tomorrow.

I've downloaded the orginal syncussion service manual and it gives me some ideas where to look, but any advice of physical locations on the board to check?
Cheers.

Just to follow up, I just happened to get a BSP and it works fine here with my SY1M so it sounds like there might be something going on with your build or maybe the bsp. Did you say this happens on both SY channels?

Hey there,
So I've got Channel 1 up and running fine no problems there, but channel 2 I get no audio out of except for when I switch to the noise channel, all pots on the control board seem to work fine with the noise, and when I scroll back on the switch for channel 2 I can hear a faint oscillator, but something is wrong. Visually, everything is where its supposed to be, I flipped all the chips around between channel 1 and 2 and no difference, and I did a reflow on everything on the voice board. Any suggestions on what to look at? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Barry

Test points on Channel one is giving me some nice square waves, but test points on channel 2 is giving me 2 lines but no waves, and no change if I adjust the tune slider or any adjustments on the scope.

Finally got it, had two resistors mixed up and that was that!
Thanks
