OK then- unless someone objects, we will offer a group buy for all of the ICs in the build. We will post a link to the product on our webstore once we finalize the listing against the BOM etc. Stay tuned!

OK, my ordering process has started and so far it looks like all material will be shipped to me in the next two weeks. While I was able to accommodate three more builders over the weekend, that option is definitely no more available for anyone who's asking now.

Yes, for group buyers-- the group buy does include the LM3916. BUT since you ordered that as part of the bundle, we will NOT BE SHIPPING THE LM3916. Instead, you'll receive a refund for that portion of the group buy price when we ship.

Document updates
Two updates:
Shipment update: all material has been ordered and if everything goes as planned, I should be able to prepare all shipment to you this coming Friday.
- I've changed the vocoder output level tuning description for a higher volume. The Assembly and Tuning Guide has been updated accordingly.
- For those of you who've decided to build the LDO-based power supply, I've updated the BOM as I had to make a small change to ensure proper standby. Both the BOM PDF and the spreadsheet are up to date. I didn't update the Mouser project as that didn't cover the required resistors in the first place. In essence there are now 5 resistors, 2x 1N4148 and 1x 2N3904 needed that are not part of the Mouser project.

That is correct. I've dropped them all off at the parcel shop today. They should start shipping tomorrow.derpinguin wrote:And the packages are already on their way.
Frankly, preparing everything for shipment was a PITA. I didn't realize what I've signed up for when I offered to ship the bundles. It's not a big deal to ship within the European Union but filling out the CN23 forms for overseas shipments was really an eye opener. Anyone ever dealt with HS codes? Now I know what all these numbers mean on the packing list when I get components shipped from distributors.
For that reason alone I sort of wish the UK won't leave the EU. And I had to fill this out for a shipment to Switzerland

I would vote for a build thread but as long as the first post is our reference and is updated that works alsoglubsch wrote:Folks, when does it make sense to start the build thread? Should we just do it as part of this thread?
