Normally SVFs have a signal input and discrete LP, BP and HP outputs.
The only VCF I’m aware of that is similar to yours in this respect, is a (modified) Steiner Synthasystem/Synthacon filter, and I believe that’s a Sallen-Key topology, not State-Variable.
Whoops, seems that I referred to Sallen-Key filters as a SVF subtype for like.. 8 years? State variable filter is in fact specific type as now I can see... Thanks for pointing that!
I’m curious, how did you implement LP, BP, HP inputs (...)
It uses four vacuum diodes (2xEAA91) as dynamic resistance element and BP/HP signals are injected into intermediate stages. This is very similar to the Synthacon filter, but output / feedback amplifier is made around double triode (6N3P). :)
Ah, that’s an easy mistake to make, especially when even manufacturers use terms like “State-Variable” or “variable-state” to describe Multi-mode filters. :hihi:
Thanks for the clarification.

Will it now be possible to power this from an AC or DC external PSU via the barrel socket?
This would be a nice option for building a standalone unit in a Hammond aluminium box.
Any plans to release the tube VCA that you mentioned before? A standalone tube VCF+VCA would be great.
I guess line-level would have to amplified to 10Vp-p to get the best from this VCF, right?
What are the dimensions of the core PCB?

Yes, 5V-6.3V DC/AC @ 1.1A (but better to have some headroom since tubes' filaments have ~2x lower resistance when cold)

patch.audio will be releasing tube VCA very soon - but this is builded module, not DIY kit. However, I don't exclude possibility of making DIY VCA module, preferably on different tube, maybe some hated radio heptode?

Right :)

79mm height x 95mm width.

... WOW! Stainless steel!! I adore stainless steel, I use stainless fasteners and washers all over my synthesizer! Now I want to buy a Euro kit!!

Desperately trying to resist, I have so many VCF's already, and so many other projects........
But it certainly is a really nice sounding filter! (and a stainless panel, bombproof  )

Jacks are Cliff FC681375V, but PJ3410s should fit too.

I would be interested in:
Eurorack kit (PCBs + Panel + Tubes + Sockets, without other parts)

I may consider upgrading to the full kit after reviewing a BOM.
