I've been working up an upgraded version of my scanner/CV board that I had done for my own MM clone. It'll support mono CV and poly MIDI in and out. I'll come up with something and have boards fabricated. It'll be a while before it's ready to share.

It'll be programmed with the arduino IDE. If you know a lick of coding it'll be a fun thing to play around with - being able to set up sequence recordings and any other tricks you can think of.

No hurry! My MMB build is very much on the back burner.... Started building it, then built an SY-1, then an Arpie, then a Mutable module tester. At the current rate, I might finish it this time next year.

Thanks again!

Greetings,

IF these keybeds would function as a replacement for a SCI Pro 1, I would most certainly be in!. Could someone more familiar (KevinM???) let me know? So, a very interested party here soon as I can verify. Thank you to those putting the GB together!

Regards, Jim

Jim! Nice to hear from you again. These should be the right thing you just need to use or make an adapter for the micromatch connector to fit the pro-one. I'll msg you with more details.

Yes they will, you will have to drill some holes in the chassis and fabricate an adapter that changes the MicroMatch to the DIP socket that SCI strangely used as a KB connector. Or you can buy it as a kit from TechMechs Vintage synth.

Already informed 8-)
Didn't want to advertise so I sent him some links. This page is helpful and explains the keyboard conversion which is great help for routing the connections. Also sent him links for the micromatch connectors and ribbon.

Told Jim he could buy the adapter, build one or just splice and solder the ribbon to a 20 pin DIP socket.

short group buy window

Post by synthcube » Mon Oct 21, 2019 3:57 pm

We have been told that our first order of FATAR 37- key, semi-weighted no- aftertouch units will ship in about a week. So we are going to open a short, limited group buy window.

Buy these for $69 plus shipping, limit 2 per person please (contact us if you really really can't live without a third one at this price). Only available at this price through 10/28/2019.

We will ship the orders to you as soon as we have them in the shop.

We will retail them for $99 after that (or a bit more depending on full inbound freight costs etc)

They are also going into our forthcoming Weston PRO2021 kits :)

Well that was good timing - haven't visited the forum in over a week :hihi:

Is the Pro2021 going to have any AT stuff added to it? I know Deven had considered adding connections to the next one. If it does have these connections - I'd go with the AT keybed. Otherwise I can live with the vintage ways 8-)

For this round of kits that SC will be selling, I am not going to be making any changes to the boards, so if you want to add AT you just need to patch into the PCBs and use Altitude909's AT PCB.

I will look into adding a connector at a minimum later on though.
