MTM Spring Reverb. The RCA jacks will be added. I think the vactrols I bought on ebay a rip-offs. Not quite sure how this will affect the sound though Reverb sounds great non the less.
Very tight fit with the switch and the smallest one I had lying around.
Was running low on acrylic sheet as well and had to use the last part with a cut corner- oh well...

Little passive DIN Sync adapter/mult box. ...
that's cool. how is your typical DIN Sync input designed in terms of input protection? maybe an active solution clamping signals to 5V makes sense...

of course you can also use DIN Sync outputs to control your modular or sequencers / drum machines with trigger inputs. i built this, which works a treat: http://www.florian-anwander.de/a100/sync2clock/
Yes, active would be better. I'm relying on the inputs of the 808 and making sure I attenuate signals to @5V.

Thanks for the reminder - I had forgotten Florian's design.

Assembled Plaits yesterday, Vortex Generator a few weeks ago. These barely count as DIY, in my opinion. The VG was board/panel, so I had to source components, and compile the Arduino code, and assemble, of course. The Plaits was a full kit, and all the SMT was already done. Super easy build.

But, fun to build, fun to play.

They are nice knobs but I think these CAPI knobs rock even harder. They would look great on a synth. A synth with discrete opamps and transformer balanced outputs ;)

Redesign of my Voltmeter (based on the discontinued Doepfer module).Added a toggle switch to
multiply the input voltage by 5 or 10 times (only for positive voltages). Comes in handy to
measure small voltages up to 2V.

I haven't built any 5U stuff for about 5 years. I already have too much stuff in that format - my cabs are full, and I have a few unused modules in the closet. But couldn't resist this one!

Truly madly deeply

I’ll have to look out for some of those. Knobs with a pointy end work for me. Lovely metal lumps like these especially so!!

Love this color scheme! Reminds me of 80s zoids. If I ever would redo all the panels of my modules, It'd be something like that.
Maybe if I finally decide to get that chinese laser and find a good deal on knobs.

OK, so this is not my most technical build, but it does exactly what I need! I have a little suitcase system, powered by a wallwart. The trouble is, the lid is quite shallow, so I couldn't (a) leave it patched and closed, or (b) fit the wallwart in the case. The first problem I fixed by buying some Tendrils. They lie flat, which is good, although if you're short of finger room they can also be tricky to remove. For the second problem, I came up with this beauty:
box2.jpg
box1.jpg
There was actually an earlier attempt made from aluminium, but I took up too much space joining the sides (and also I made it the wrong size). Eventually I just grabbed some cardboard, folded it into a box, and attached some small strips of aluminium angle. So my briefcase now looks like this:
case.jpg
and all is fine! The wall wart fits in the little box in the bottom left, the spare cables (and audio recorder) are held in velcro loops hotglued to the lid.

This one's been on the backburner for awhile. VCF from the MS-10, using the Korg35 circuit. The input has far too much gain on it at the moment -- it's very easy to swamp the filter entirely, so nothing gets filtered at all. But it does work nicely once the input level is set correctly!

808 Snare circuit. Again, backburner... this one had a really embarassing mistake that caused it to be benched for a few years (a few, he says.) But now it works nicely.

Er... while the panels might not say 2020, I did indeed finish 'em today. They've just taken a long time to sort :)

I made this case yesterday.
Not perfect, but I'm quite happy with the result.

I had so many built modules around, now they have a place.

They are either cc-by-sa 4.0 or cc-by-nc-sa 4.0 as I havent decided fully what to do with them yet...

building stuff from bits of what i already have. only purchases made - a handful of extra 6.35 jacks, and some black card from sainsburys to cover the faceplate. desoldered pots and jacks, box and panel, psu, all from previous projects that have fallen out of favour. inside there are 12 cgs dc mixer pcbs converted into an 8x8 matrix mixer (along cgs design), switchable input mutes and dc filter, 2x gain on the input buffers, output attenuation, unipolar/bipolar on each send. spent some time jacking up the grounds and dropping pulldown resistors in (in retrospect doepfers matrix bi/unipolar switch is in a more sensible place than the cgs design) to try and cut the noise and crosstalk. quite happy now and v good fun :)

I built these back in March, but only got them mounted in a crude wooden box today.
Fun noisemaker, but I need 20-30 more banana cables.

That’s got a :nana: :nana: from me. Nice mix of LW/CGS and Slightly Nasty. Do they all work well together? When will the mysterious module get finished?
