Neutron sound Dust of Time.
Each of the 2 oscillator pairs have a few different methods, each with separate tuning, pitch modulation, and 2 parameters that can be adjusted and modulated with stereo offset or inversion of the modulation. some are procedurally generated, some are wavetables, and it can play waveedit files from the SD card. some methods are oversampled, some are raw.
all of the pot can be clicked to bring up the modulation screen for that parameter.
All modulators are at full 50KHz sample rate except chaos, which is at 3KHz
there are 4 DAHDSR with looping modulation and virus style slope sustain.
4 (resettable to actual degrees) LFO which can go from about 17 hours to 999.999Hz
2 chaos attractors each with x and y outs (16 types ofchaos available)
2 fusers, which take 1-3 modulators and mix, multiply or otherwise combine them.
a sub oscillator
2. "control" modulators, any of the pots, midi velocity, mod or bend, can be selected.
4 CV ins and v/oct in are available as mod sources anywhere, 2 of them are at 25KHz sample rate, 2 at 3KHz.
2 gate/trigger ins, MIDI gate, and 2 internally generated gates are combined in a matrix to 4 gate/trigger buses.
2 aux CV outs, can be any of the mod sources or t/g buses.
more info and a video soon!
if you want to see some videos now, there are a few on neutron sound facebook page.

Fantastic!
I built an O&C hoping it would be an Orgone Accumulator + display.
Discovered it was more like Euroduino + display. Still fun, but...

I am impressed. 2020 is going to have a lot of amazing modules.

Re: Neutron sound Dust of Time.
Looks great, why did you decide to go with the Teensy 3.6 rather than 4? Developed prior to the release of the 4?
Re: Neutron sound Dust of Time.
Yes, I am still trying to sort out a few things with the teensy 4. orgone4 will use it,
its a few months away though.

Re: Neutron sound Dust of Time.
Here are the 2 versions of the DIY PCBpanel. the modula can use click pots, or if you can not get them, a button next to each pot to do the same thing.

Re: Neutron sound Dust of Time.
The drones are like Blade Runner 4082, 2 thousand years in the future and dark. Brutal.
There is some voices and wavetables too, isnt?
The diagram is written in chinese... could you explain a bit the mechanics of the module?

Re: Neutron sound Dust of Time.
Boards and panels (button version only for now, click pots are taking a while!) are at Michigan synth works.
https://michigansynthworks.com/collecti ... n-pcb-only
https://michigansynthworks.com/collecti ... panel-2nds
Note! these panels are “seconds” because of the little mirrored rectangle above the bottom jacks, it is supposed to say “CV” there. I actually don’t mind the ant mirror though.
here is iBOM, the real BOM should be up a bit later tonight. i can’t really do anything to make iBOM nicer because i have to export to eagle, then import to kicad. And i dont know eagle or kicad!
http://neutron-sound.com/Dust_of_Time/i ... DIY_1.html
Ill put up a build thread in a few days once some people have their boards.
Note about the 4 pin 1.3” OLED display: the pins on this one are GND VCC SCK SDA but some exist with the GND and VCC switched. the ones i have seen like that have solder jumpers to make them right. just be sure you can before you buy. They are common on amazon, for additional confusion, that picture is a 1306 display chip but this needs the slightly different 1106

BOM is filled in..
Re: Neutron sound Dust of Time.
Here is a built one with "b-stock" panel and orange window and LEDs
This ant mirror is why it is "b stock"

Re: Neutron sound Dust of Time.
So here's the procedure for the windows. I was hoping that these would snap in just like I do on the metal panels but the reality is that the tolerance of the cutout is simply to big for that to work so here is "plan b"
1. Use painters tape and apply to the front, make sure its firmly applied around the edge of the opening (pic 1)
2. Drop in the display, lay the whole thing on something flat
3. Apply a bead of adhesive (doesnt really matter what, i use super glue) around the edge of the display on the back. There is a 1mm difference so you have a nice lip to work with. (pic 2)
4. Let dry completely, remove the painters tape. You should have a nice clean result. If some adhesive worked its way to the front, clean it off with whatever. These are PCBs so you can use acetone/etc if needed. do this BEFORE removing the protective paper on the windows
5. Remove the protective paper on the window, use a finger nail to get it started then pull it off with tweezers (save yourself some cleaning that way)

Holy fuck
Re: Neutron sound Dust of Time.
I just put in an order, will the window come with it or do I have to get it seperately?Altitude909 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 9:23 amSo here's the procedure for the windows. I'm interested to know this as well. If the windows are shipping with the panel, I'll submit my order todaywery67564 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 6:44 pmI just put in an order, will the window come with it or do I have to get it seperately?Altitude909 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 9:23 amSo here's the procedure for the windows.
