mini pot lost resistance

Post by dooj88 » Tue Feb 11, 2020 7:17 pm

hello gurus! sorry for the absolutely elementary question, but this thing has been slowly driving me crazy. there's a mini pot on a mixer which has an awful grinding crunchy feel and very little resistance for 20% of the travel through the knob. is there something i can tighten, or should it just be replaced. hoping it's the former since i have fat clumsy fingers and rudimentary soldering skills. thanks all.

you might be able to open it up and clean it out. otherwise youll have to replace it.
