I could have 3Dprinted a nicer box for a small fee. The shipping would be expensive to Australia. Also, Australia likes to smash the boxes before they deliver them.

hello @Col may i can ask you a couple of questions? how much it will power up + rail? after some months is it still working? any troubles? i would like to build one for a diy case that i would use to just test new diy modules.

Yes, both of mine are still working. One has become a permanent enclosure for my Euroscope V2 and the other one I just use for testing modules that I have built. I don't know what the maximum output current is but I haven't had any issues powering any of my modules. If the XL6008 datasheet is anything to go by the devices are rated to 3A. The bottleneck is more likely to be the USB supply.

Not sure PLA would cut it if warm electronics are inside... We tried printing PA (nylon) cases but the process is not so easy. Also the time to print on case only makes sense on a one-off basis. In the end we will go for a Hammond case with the PCB adjusted to fit.
