DIY Mult with custom aluminum faceplate

Post by chem101 » Thu Mar 05, 2020 11:12 am

I had this random hacked together mult laying around from the original owner of the case, as well as an old faceplate from a 4ms Rotating Clock Divider. So I sanded and polished all the colored paint off it and threw it onto my CNC machine with an engraving V-bit.

I typically use my CNC as a router/grinder for other materials like acrylic, wood, even stone, but had never tried engraving on metal, so I didn't get too crazy with the design. Turned out ok. The letters on the wording could be spaced a little better, graphics placement is kinda meh, but hey I had fun doing it. Might have to try a few more at some point.

Now the only problem is that I feel slightly obligated to give up 4hp for a freakin mult lol
