I’ve got a bamboo box from Amazon, 6x9x2.5. I just measured, and it might be a bit small for the panel... I’ll know when the kit arrives. I was hoping the difference between US and German Amazon would be units of measurement.
I got a set off Amazon from mDesign Inc. 2 boxes for about $15. They stack, so there is an inset around it. The inset measures 221mm x 144 mm, with ledges 4mm wide, so the panel will fit.

I’m using the 6x9 as a tiny EuroRack case. Powered by synthrotek USB Power, currently has a Plaits clone and a Vortex Generator. About 22Hp left for more modules.

I don't use a USB connector for powering my builds, but a DC barrel connector instead. These are round jacks, so it's much easier to drill a hole in the case. USB B jack hole must be chiseled or routed. ;)

You can easily get USB A to barrel plug cables on Ebay or really anywhere. You'll have to open the case for a firmware update, but that's just 4 screws. Also, the new version doesn't even use the micro USB port for powering the circuit, so it remains unconnected.

As for sequencer sync, I've had many requests for it and am thinking about incorporating it in the future. Unfortunately there are no more free input pins on the microcontroller board.

Yeah, I've opted to build a little breadboard power board, so can run it off a 9v Pedal PSU and use a std barrel connector.

I made a rectangular hole in my DIY case and used one of these:

This allows me uploading possible firmware updates without having to open the case.

I cut the cable and soldered it back together, integrating the power switch and reconnecting the green and white USB data wires.

The PCB is held by four small pieces of wood with a notch I made:

This is my Elmyra - LED sockets are still missing, but it's fully working and sounding awesome. And I also finished my PedalPCB "Spatialist" reverb build last Sunday - goes along great with the Elmyra.
Woo-hoo :bananaguitar: !

... why buy it for $100 when you can build it yourself for $150?

I like your PCB mounting solution, might have to pinch that idea!
I just need to drill the 4x holes to mount the panel to the wooden box, hopefully I don't balls that up

I attached small pieces of adhesive insulation tape (similar to this) onto the panel preventing I'd slide away with the drill or scratch the panel :D. The panel material was easy to drill.

Sorry to take this off topic a little, but eurorack modules are not slightly too short height-wise to fit in these bamboo boxes? Are you able to just drill and screw them right in? This is very interesting.

Edit: thanks for the reply below!

A collection of sound snippets I made with 2 Elmyras and various pieces of gear (0-coast, Lyra-8, Digitakt, Analog Four, Ocean Machine, GR-1, Eurorack etc.).

Also, those kits are now officially available from the friendly guys at Exploding Shed (EU shipping only): https://www.exploding-shed.com/diy-kits ... utral-labs

If you're anywhere else, you can of course order them directly from me.

Coming back to this since there haven't been any updates for a while: The new PCB that has been available for some time now makes it so much easier to build than the old one that Bodo shows in his post above (props to him and the other early adopters though). The new version has the knobs and switches mounted directly on the PCB, so you don't need to run a bazillion wires between panel and PCB.

You can see the new v1.3 kit in this unboxing video by Elk Elektronik (He will also run a build workshop soon in AUS, so contact him if you're in the area and interested):

In the meantime, I made a nice little promo vid:

And I'm quite proud to announce that assembled Elmyras are now available at Perfect Circuit (the black version is currently on sale!): https://www.perfectcircuit.com/neutral-labs

Kits are still available through me and soon SynthCube will have them in stock too.

Elmyra goes really well with this lovely pedal.

Also, kits are now finally available at a US retailer (SynthCube): https://synthcube.com/cart/makers/neutral-labs

Are the switches ON-ON (102), or ON-OFF-ON (103)?

I have a 2u space in my rack, and I'm doing a stripboard version x2 to fill up the space (and to use up the Itsy Bitsy boards I have around for some reason)

I found the schematic posted on the Neutral Labs website a bit hard to parse, so I threw together my own. @neutral-labs, is it ok to post it here?
