I’ve obtained the entire BOM from a variety of sources - Mouser, Digi-Key, Thonk, Tayda and Electric Druid and maybe a couple of others too. To date it has cost upwards of £300 in parts.

Be aware that the STM32F103CBT6 ARM microcontroller is out of stock and on a long lead time at all the major suppliers, and very limited availability elsewhere.

LCSC.com has them still. There are all kinds of shortages at the moment, unfortunately.

SMD parts are about 140eur, THT parts about 200eur.

I’ve bought both a STM32F103CBT6 from a U.K. eBay seller (came loose in an antistatic bubble wrap bag) and an STM32F103CBT6TR from Digi-Key (order code 497-17380-1-ND with 30 in stock and much cheaper than LCSC.com). I haven’t opened the Digi-Key part but from the data sheet I’m 99.99% certain both parts are identical with the TR suffix referring only to the Tape & Reel packaging.

Sorry if i missed this, but what are the plans for the various versions of this? PCB, SMD stuffed, and ? As much as I would like to just get down with a PCB, IDK if I have time for it these days so a more complete kit would suite me better, something I can just get all the parts for and bang out in an hour

I think I may deviate from the case/PCB panel and just get the cases CNCd at front panel express and then do a styleflip label for it.. If anyone in the US wants in, the price breaks start at 5 units. I dont think they will do the black steel (confirming that) so the Aluminum ones will be the only option (you will have to paint it) and it wont be cheap, case with the wood is $58 and then im guessing $70-80 for the CNC work plus the labels ($20ish) but they will be nice..
