Uh-maze-balls! :hail:

When did you begin the project? How long has it taken you to get this far?
I think it started around August 2019, when I actually began the process of translating the schematics into Kicad. I was not rushing it, I was moving from Eagle to Kicad and used this project to learn more about Kicad. Also, the parts list is gigantic, so I purchased those in smaller batches.

Just sent the panel drawings to the manufacturer to get a quotation for that. Only things left are wood parts, the aluminum side plates and nameplate, and the buttons; getting those 3D printed is proving tricky. Have to get samples from a few different manufacturers and different printing processes, the first test turned out bad.

Waiting for the panel labels to arrive now! Hopefuly it will look like the original, this is the VCF/Contour section. I tried to get it to look as close to the original as possible.

Cheers!

Hey guys!
A quick, silly sound example recorded from my prototype Memorymoog. Just fooling around with a few presets, filter, etc.

Cheers!

Sounds really lush, not harsh or brittle - nice work!

Count me in for one kit or whatever you decide to do once it's finished. I have a Yamaha CS1x that's gathering dust. Should be easy to adapt the keybed for this build if the time comes.

Cheers

It's pretty much easy to adapt almost any keyboard to Memorymoog.
CS1X is a nice candidate ;)

I'm looking forward to the promised source files too. That's a generosity that only adds to this epic initial thread.
Thank you Luismarka!

My Memorymoog uses a Juno 106 keybed. It is just a matter of figuring the wiring.

I just downloaded the CS1x service manual to have a look at the keybed wiring. :tu:

Hi folks!
Just received the top panel from the manufacturer. It is a pretty good quality job, the alignment is perfect! Monday morning I will order it to be zinc coated, then painted. In the meantime I expect to receive the Lexan panel adhesives. Getting close to completion!

Cheers!

Front panels just arrived. Have to figure a way to darken a bit the windows for the displays. Other than that, it looks pretty close to the original!

Which manufacturer are you using? Those bare structural panels look great. Curious what's the cost to cut and bend something that big?
