Quick Trimmer Question: VCO Maximus (TH Design)

Post by Studioalethea » Mon Jul 27, 2020 1:56 pm

Quick question!

There is a 10K V/Octave trimmer in the VCO Maximus design. What is connected to what in this?

Is Pin 1 not connected, Pin 2 (wiper) to R36 and Pin 3 to R28 nod?

That will do, yes. You need one connection to the wiper and the other connection to one side (either pin 1 or pin 3). For a trimmer it doesn't really matter which side you choose, it will just change which direction you need to turn to increase or decrease the resistance. Usually the unused side pin is also connected to the wiper. (So in your case, pins 1 and 2 to R36, pin 3 to R4.)
