emu sp1200 main pcb in progress

Post by DogNamedLilly » Sun Sep 13, 2020 12:34 pm

hello boom bap lovers out there!
i am just working on a new pcb of the sp 1200 main board.
i do this, because the original pcb is not available anymore.
if there is anybody out, who is also interested in a pcb, i can
do some more. i think, it is posssible, to build an complete machine with this, but
my intention is to help a friend to repair his totally broken machine,
and i want to cover some costs for the pcb manufacturing.
thanks for watching!
Adam

I checked the schematics, and compared with the original pcb, I noticed different
IC´s, for example the ultrarare 74HCT504, which works as in combination with the DA as AD converter, is different on the pcb.
does anybody know something about that?

Depending on the asking price,it might be interesting to buy just as a spare part.

Keep posting on your progress!

I've said it once and I'll say it again: If somebody does a DIY kit for a SP1200 clone, I AM FULLY ON BOARD!

How difficult is it to source replacement buttons?

I've looked before.. but seem to remember having a fairly difficult time, except for well the rather expensive N.O.S. ones on ebay.
