due to sales dropping down to zero while my expenses exceed $40 per month, I have decided to close both the website and the store website. if you need any schematics or drill templates, I will provide them for free. if someone wants a dump of everything all you need to do is PM me your email address. Hopefully I can transition to something crowdsourced with the least amount of disruption to anyone who purchased kits or PCB's from me in the past.
there is a planned AC DC power supply complete with custom distribution boards but that will not be released until late summer 2021. at that time I will reopen one of the two websites to handle sales of the last 5 power supply kits. these are really high end power supply kits. probably one of the nicest on the market for a low noise remote linear power supply with audiophile level filtering and noise mitigation as well as proper grounding and shielding throughout. testing is not done so I can't release it now.
thanks for the gold

I'm not one of your customers but as a fellow enthusiast I want to say thank you for your dedication and for having the guts to put your work out there.

Was wondering what you've been up to, EYG. That's tough about the sales dropping, I thought that matrix mixer looked great. Would have bought one, but getting out of euro. Looking forward to that power supply announcement, will hopefully have enough LW by then to need a power overhaul.
Best of luck in all future endeavors. It's been a hell of a year, hopefully the next one improves.

I really messed up the matrix mixer. I never had them mass produced. so I priced them too high. sales were slow. I broke 3 of them and sold 3. if someone wants a project, I can sell broken matrix mixers for $60 parts or repair. I already labeled what channels are non-working. I can even throw in replacement blank PCB's if you want to take on such a repair project. I still have PCB+panel kits available right now. not much for a build guide so you are on your own.
When I was bored, synths were fun. Now I spend all my time as a computer science student. I also self study mathematics. I don't even listen to music now. I just read math books. The only mistake anyone can make is doing something they don't love. When I look back on all these projects I posted. I had fun doing them and I had fun sharing them. I learned a lot from the people here and I felt it was my duty to repay that debt by spending my time here helping others with whatever they were working on. long live muff wiggler now in the second generation of management. RIP Mike and big up to his son for continuing the website. This place has changed my life for the better. I became an electrical engineer simply by following Graham Hinton around and reading lots of books. I even got a job as an engineer reading blueprints for industrial machinery. I didn't have to pay. The muff users collectively are the real heros. together the community has made something larger than any one person. something not found anywhere else. big thanks to all especially the mods.

Really sorry to hear this EYG! Hope you can get some new opportunities going the crowd-source route. I also self study mathematics and read math books! Wish you well.

Good luck with school man! My wife is going back for CS as well.
I agree with you about everything you said about muffs. It's a great place. I've learned so much in almost 3 years here. Hope to see you around still here still!

Sorry to hear that EYG. Good luck with the studies (CS is just applied math!).

I loved your site, dude. It´s a pity. Hopefully all the info is uploaded again under a different domain.
Go to the deep end of the rabbit hole, always. That mathematical one can get abysmal and fascinanting, for sure... here we will be dancing and cheering your comeback

You have not walked far away. Today's synthesizers are specialized computers with specialized software (sometimes even have keyboards).
And music theory is based on mathematics.

Just sell on Etsy or Tindie. It's easier for customers to find you. Yes, they take money, but at least you only pay when you sell something. Not perfect.
