THATCorp Contact
Anyone have another contact at THATCorp other that the sales@thatcorp.com email listed on their website?
I've reached out 3 times to a previous contact and no response. Hoping I can reach their sales team another way?

LinkedIn shows several folks who would likely be able to help you.cackland wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 6:14 amAnyone have another contact at THATCorp other that the sales@thatcorp.com email listed on their website?

Re: THATCorp Contact
Met this problem before with them. They seem to only want to talk to established audio companies and since we do design for OEMs we're not actually well known as a large user. Unfortunately everything's under NDA so you'll probably just have to hassle them. What parts are you after ? Farnell do stock a few of their products.

Ha.. seems my LinkedIn network isn't strong enough to connect with the appropriate people.. Requested connection with Les Tyler though.neil.johnson wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 6:22 amLinkedIn shows several folks who would likely be able to help you.cackland wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 6:14 amAnyone have another contact at THATCorp other that the sales@thatcorp.com email listed on their website?

Hmmm could be. I've had contact before, and managed to get several samples. Looking for THAT4305. Couldn't find those through Element14 (Australia) which I believe is connected to Farnell.MikeDB wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 6:27 amMet this problem before with them. Ah... for some reason, Mouser wasn't showing this IC in my region. Changed regions and found many...
(on order)

Interesting - cheaper than Mouser. Not that I use their parts at the moment :-)

I'd just call the MFs. Some places are just old school like that, or their bloated corporate IT system is filtering out your emails through their many spam and security firewalls (this is how it is at my day job!). They may not even be getting your emails in the first place. Start with +1 (508) 634-9922 or +1 (508) 478-9200

Re: THATCorp Contact
Right well as I said, I’ve had previous communication through their email system so who knows if for some reason it’s being filtered now.

Re: THATCorp Contact
When I used to work at a large fabless semiconductor company the sales team wouldn't even answer the phone unless you were a 1 million+ units a year type of customer. It's not a fault as such, just the cost of sales is high so it's just not worth entertaining small business, let alone the home brew DIYer.

Damn it.. clearly my morning sarcasm didn't get through. If I have to order a million pcs to get a hello from THATCorp, fudge it.. I'll do it.
All jokes aside, looking for a few hundred possibly. Unfortunately the profusion reference Neil pointed out, doesn't have the standard that4305 wide voltage range. I'll probably just have to wait until Mouser receives them.

Re: THATCorp Contact
I've seen enough people on this board do similar megascale things on behalf of the company they work for or their own small business, so I've stopped assuming that things like this are out of the realm of possibility lol.
Re: THATCorp Contact
The 2180 is unobtanium currently, and has been since last summer. For my day job, I have been waiting for a delivery for over half a year now. Afaik, the ICs are being made in a fab that's been shut down for months due to covid19, and even if they are back in service, there is a long list that has piled up. The ETA on mouser is probably as good as any announcement. But I have seen that being delayed at least five times already, too.

Hmmm yeah, covid has definitely had a bigger impact on the semiconductor industry that I first realised.sir stony wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 4:24 pmThe 2180 is unobtanium currently, and has been since last summer. Re: THATCorp Contact
We already had to redesign our most used circuit to go with another vca, and two more pcbs are currently being redesigned as well. If the 2180 isn't shipping soon, we'll have all the rest migrated to the new part as well, and Thatcorp is going to have one client less.
