We made a few tests with several manufacers and we think we found the ones. We will slowly insert them in our production line.
Unfortunately sampling modulator will be hand made as well for the next months.
euromorcego wrote:@Befacosynth: What kind of material are the panels? And would you consider selling some blank panels (undrilled)?
I am trying to do some panels on my own, with little success so far ;) I tried the HP everyday glossy but it seems to stick quite tightly to the blind panels I use (doepfer).
We buy painted aluminium panels, then cut/drill them using a CNC.
We are using APLI 140gr/m2 paper.
We have a few spare 17HP pannels, drop us a mail if you could be interested.

Hey guys - has anyone here built the instrument interface? I built the kit yesterday but got the dreaded white smoke... fairly sure I had the TL072 in the wrong way round, or it just failed. It was hot when I opened up the module, no sign of any damage anywhere else. I'd love it if someone could confirm which way round it should be.

Also ferrite beads - should they be soldered to the resistor leg that goes through them? I've never used them before.

Sorry to jump on this post, slightly off topic, I can't start my own posts yet it seems.

Smoking components give us a hint of reversed polarity.

So check if the power cable is fine and is properly connected to your power bus Reversing cable = Evil!
It would be adviceable in this case to remove all ICs, connect to power supply and check with tester if power is getting to ICs properly (Doublechek Datasheet for pin numbering)

Take a look to this article to help with troubleshooting:

Is there a Mouser list or anything similar available for the Befaco Even VCO?

EDIT: Nevermind. The parts I was worried about sourcing have part #s listed in the schematic PDF.

There's also the option of creating a bom from the eagle files, but you'd have to install eagle, and i don't recall whether the parts have mouser pn's or digikey or none at all.

A*B+C just got out of Beta version. People that built it really enjoyed and did not found any issue. so it will be available in around three weeks!

We have a few kits and firmware is ALMOST perfect.

In two or three weeks they should be available and all files released!

Awesome! If you can please test it with an Octatrack. Some of the new low cost MIDI to CV/Gate/Trigger modules choke on its output.

PM me if you need a beta tester :).

I'm really interested in the A*B+C, what's the situation with it? I'd love to get a kit, since I've been loving my A-133 and this would do the same stuff and mixing in 6hp.

Still waiting on the Midithing... Got a spot reserved in my rig for that one. :hyper:
The 8 Steps:
(1) Figure out what it is you always wish you could do with your rig, that you currently can't.
(2) Figure out your maximum available budget.
(3) Look at and research all of the modular toys out there that will make Step#1 happen.
(4) Add an additional 25% to your Step#2 total.
(5) Buy the item(s) found during Step#3, repeating Step#4 as often as needed while completing the Step#5 buying process.
(6) Install newly purchased gear.
(7) Wiggle.
(8) Return to Step#1.

I'm totally amped on my BF22 filter. Befaco: stylish modules that are fun to use, compact, sound great, and not expensive! Do you need another filter? Of course you do. This one goes to 11.

Thanks for the heads up! Now I at least know it's in production! I'm based in Finland, though, so any leads on European availability would be great.

I emailed befaco about the joystick module a few weeks ago and they offered a kit for the new version, so I bought it straight away. Finally picked it up from the post office today and can't wait to build this!

Post by Schanke » Sun May 22, 2016 2:56 pm

Hi guys,

has anyone built the hexvca?
is there a BOM for mouser and is it possible to get a panel anywhere?
would be super nice!

ive started this BOM https://www.mouser.ch/ProjectManager/Pr ... f76ab88cee

,from the manual from befaco.org. the capacitors are still not in there. I couldn't find any further information except their values.also about the pots.

THX,

how much was the joystick module kit? im planning on building a standalone minimoog case with jdeglouts design/pcbs. Im thinking a joystick plus mod wheels and some other circuits(porta, constant CV source like a paused sequencer)! plus some extra space for modulation. of all the designs i really like befacos. I know its not available yet but Im trying to price everything out. my birthday is fast approaching!!!
