Moog MG-1x highly modded Concertmate kits

I've been working on mods for the MG-1 to bring it up to awesome.

so far I have:

- Adjustable Pulse Width Osc 1+2
- Pulse Width Modulation for 1+2 via LFO or Env
- Sync Sweep (Env mod of Osc 2 like on Rogue)
- Synth Filter with adjustable tone for Organ (polysynth!)
- LFO rate extension
- Global octave down transpose for deep bass
- Filter Freq Modulation via Osc 1+2
- Patch points Osc 1+2 out, Env out, LFO out, Filter CV
- Momentary CV in Mute
- OSC 2 independant LFO amount
- Poly LFO modulation
- Individual Tone 1+2 outputs, Poly output, Mix Output, CV Gate V-trig
- Filter Audio Input

Here is a teaser of the new panel

I might make this available as a kit in the future....

I'll stick some vids up when the panels been completed.

I'll be getting the panel's made up in the new year, they will be thick Sandtex laminated stickers just like what's on the MG-1 now, so you can simply pull the old one off and stick down the new one and drill the holes.
There's one for the back panel too.

Anyone intrested post here by the 2nd Jan and I'll get a price. Then I'll post the price for the kits they'll be under $100, Wiggler's getting in early will get the kits at cost price.

I would potentially be interested in 3 of them. I would recommend adding Osc1 to Osc2 linear FM and individual CV inputs for each Osc...

I like! Years ago I was given a slightly broken MG-1 to mess around with. There are many mods I have done just by using clips to patch stuff in and out, new modulations and such. Got pretty far out there without breaking anything. Oscillator modulation of the top octave divider is insane. Last mod I tried was VC res, I got it kind of working.

This makes me want to fire it up again!

Count me in for one, I am definitely interested.

yup, i will take 1 or 2 of these kits. maybe more depending on cash on hand. I work on a lot of MG-1s and this might be a cool thing to offer to people

Would this panel label fit over the existing one, or would this be for a rack-ification of the MG-1

You know what would be stratospherically awesome? If you arranged this panel to fit into one of Synthwoods Pro-1 Wooden case enclosures with mod wheels. You'd pretty have a beautiful little budget MiniMoog.

The MG-1 was my first synthesizer--which I found in a pawn shop for $40 when I was 17 years old. later that same summer, I found a "broken" MicroMoog for $30 in another pawn shop.

It will fit over the old one, although I'd recommend pulling the old one off first.

Fitting the keybed and PCB's in a new enclosure, while looking nice would get a bit complicated. I'm trying to keep this as easy as possible so anyone with a soldering iron and drill can do this.

Interested! There was an mg-1 around a musician house I lived in back in the stone ages and I loved that thing, wrote some of the still favorite things I ever did with its help. The mods list and that panel look wick!
