Ribbon cables

Post by M-Circus » Tue Nov 12, 2013 4:40 am

The power ones. As used (amongst other things) for hooking up eurorack modules to your bus board.

Where do one get these? I can obvsiouly order them from Schneiders or the other usual suspects dealing in eurorack, but isn't this something Tayda, Mouser and the lot would carry too? If so: what are they called? Can't seem to find anything.

But WHOA! That's expensive shipping for ya. €15 for the parts and €28 for the shipping...

Thanks for all the links !

But... while we are there, can anyone give the links for doing the other cables, those which are receiving these cables. (i.e. a flying bus board.)
At Reichelt would be perfect.

Thanks in advance.

They are not the same. They don't have clamp for ribbon cable. They are for PCB only.

Thanks anyway.

I have both types, 16-16 pin and 10-16 pin for 1 GBP each, 25cm long.

They're not on general sale yet. You get one free for every ten you buy. PM me if you want them.

Those are the kind I'm looking for too. In the US, preferably Mouser.
Anyone got a part number or a link?

Dammit. Your web site says they are only 15cm long, not 25cm so I used http://www.futuresoundsystems.co.uk/ instead. Their cables are great by the way.

Thanks

I'm actually looking for the shrouded male ones so I can make my own flying busses. My Mouser search-fu is failing me. All I can find are some goddam $5 ones with weird latches.

Am I retarded? :zombie:

Also, Thonk is awesome.

Sorry I was probably being a bit vague at first.

I have a bit of a backlog of things to get up for sale on the site at the moment. There will be lots of new stuff going up when the Spring Reverb kit goes on sale.

Found some on EBAY:

Seriously, I couldn't find these at any of the regular US suppliers.
