got blooper in the mail yesterday and spent a couple hours with it today. what a thoughtful design. the smooth/stepped speed modifiers being able to be used in tandem is really nice and "add" mode is ripe for whipping up complexity/weirdness. great, unique, deep pedal as seems to be the norm from CBA

Looks like they’re shipping to people on the Kickstarter.

im extremely impressed with this pedal. it also pairs remarkably well with mood (which i guess isn’t shocking since i think i read that mood was born out of the blooper dev process)

I don't care what it is, I want it. Can't say no when my two favorite pedal companies in the last few years does a collab.

But I do hope they use the morphing between settings they use on their pedals. That's about all I really have to have in there.

Changed my mind about I have to have it. It's a preamp with automated sliders.
Don't need it...

It's actually a reverb based off the lexicon 224.

The preamp is a different pedal.

Lets talk about the love for Chase Bliss pedals...
Recently I got hold of a second hand Warped Vinyl MKII and just yesterday I tried it with my Eurorack live case, it sounds sooooo nice. I always have a LoFi junky in my case for those wobbly LoFi leads but I think the WV sounds so much better... So its time for a change.... Now I want more Chase Bliss pedals... :hyper:

They are addictive. I've got 4 or 5 now.

I really like the form factor and interface.

Second that. Seem super daunting, but the dipswitch functionality carries over a lot of them. Once you learn one, you've got a handful of modulation options from the others!

I'm a big fan.. but... ..

After having spent some time with a warped vinyl, I'm a little torn on the philosophy.. It's a very well-built and flexible effect, and well-curated to achieve a specific aesthetic, but..

..in the midst of a modular setup I find myself preferring to assemble the sound from separate vibrato and chorus guitar effects (which are much cheaper, and lend themselves to easy DIY), and have separate knobs to twist that belong to those boxes - and therefore make more sense in my head.

If I were a guitarist, the amount of control I have with the DIP switches to assign modulation, etc - is very cool.. The ramp/fall control over the modulation is cool. But modular does it better. We have so much more control (shaping, sequencing). I love to be able to visually inspect the patch and engage with it - versus having "black-boxes" with hidden modulation/patches in there.

I see how the Chase Bliss pedals are great for musicians who want the convenience of patch recall via midi. Maybe with a good MIDI<->CV box I can feel more at home with modulating the thing, but there are too many good modular options built with cv control in mind.

Anyhow. Lots of respect for the brand, but I think I'm not the right audience. Am going to trade in for the basic building blocks.

(change my mind?)

Can Blooper be used like a normal delay? I really like the destructive qualities and filter options, wondering if those can be used with live audio without having a continuous loop?

Yes! The manual shows how to set it up as a delay.
Knobs shows it here, too.

I love the CB pedals I have, but don't need all of them. I had a Warped Vinyl II and I think Fairfield Circuitry's Shallow Water sounds better. However, Blooper is phenomenal, as is the collaboration with Cooper FX on the Generation Loss. I enjoyed my Tonal Recall, but there were other delays I found more useful (Meet Maude, Romferd, Avalanche Run).

I had MOOD but traded it. It was built like a tank. I hated the fact it was mono and that I was kind of guessing what I was doing.
I do want a Generation Loss though.
