Fat Rat / Plasma Pedal? Opinions?

Post by ehness » Wed Mar 25, 2020 4:33 am

Hey Wigglers 👋

I don't suppose anyone has experience with these pedals or their Rat/Drive siblings?

I'm in the market for a pedal and the Fat Rat and Plasma Pedal have caught my eye. Both seem decent from the limited demos available online, but it'd be cool to hear what the community makes of them for synthesized sounds.

The Plasma seems nice, but a bit too much $$$.

Somewhat similar and just as unruly, I have the Ace Octave Fuzz by Wren & Cuff, a take on the famous FM2 fuzz. Big, ghastly fuzz tone, enough to make your neighbors flee in terror.....

As for synth pedals per say, Subdecay's M3 seems somewhat interesting. Unfortunately, a bit out of $$$, so couldn't fetch a unit.
