Any tips or recommendations on purchasing an electric mandolin?

Buy a good mandolin and put a Barcus Berry pick up on it.
Ask Betsy Martin of Caterwaul and Purr Machine.
If I have water in my ear, is it safe for me to listen to electronic music?

Sadly, the reissue is really hard to find at a reasonable price, it certainly is a really cool looking mando.
