It's one hell of a lot smaller than the MoogerFoogers, of which I have owned both the Mooger and the Mini.

The Ring Thing can be set up to track or "auto tune" ... or not. I'd highly suggest reading the manual which is available on the EHX website. I've made my own ring mods, bought at least a half dozen ring mods (modular and stompbox types), and the Ring Thing is easily the best one of all that I've owned. The 'Foogers were very disappointing. The next best one is the Doepfer Dual Ring mod (as far as how it sounds), however it requires other resources to really take full advantage of it.

Connectivity is worth nothing if the device sounds like ass. Look into the Ring Thing ... the worst that can happen is you won't like it.
Curious what you didn’t like about the Moogerfooger? It’s prpbably singlehandedly responsible for me getting into synths...

The only ring mod I ever had was the Flaming Lips Space Ring by Death By Audio.
It was pretty fun! Kind of a mix of a fuzz/od/ring mod.
Always wanted to give a Ring Stinger a go.. they’ve became extremely expensive though, they’ve tripled in price since I’ve known about them!!!

I'd love to try both of those too.
Mine:

Frostwave Blue Ringer v2 - great sound, not made anymore. Also takes a special power supply. I sold it a while ago.
Moogerfooger MF-102 - my standard for a long time, sounds excellent and has a lot of CV jacks. Also takes a unique power supply (reverse polarity, like all Moogerfoogers).
Fairfield Circuitry Randy's Revenge - my favorite now, it's soooo good. Works with a standard pedal power supply. Sounds as good as the Moog, but in a smaller package. I love everything Fairfield Circuitry makes.
