I haven't seen this mentioned:

Edit: A video of the lecture/demonstration is now online:

Whoa! Looks interesting. This is the first I've heard of this module.

Definitely some acid going on there.

I'm betting that giant disc in the center puts on quite a light show.

Happy to see Don is still innovating. Its been a bit quiet on the Buchla front outside of the BEMI Easel and their new 1/2 space modules which while nice didn't exactly break new ground.

Very interested to see this one!

I think I know what I want to fill my last 2 spaces...

I hope the pulses are the same as the 250e pulses (my favorite flavor of Buchla pulse).

The new module aside, I thought the last sentence of that blurb was the most interesting: "He is currently completing a major redesign of the 200 series modular synthesizer (called the 200e) and contemplating his next project."

Wish I could be there, none the less want to say I'm thrilled to see something new by Don and hope to be able to get one.

Interesting, new redesign, perhaps why the fire sale?

this module does look interesting!

Don is also doing a presentation or performance at Wellesley College in MA next week, anyone else going?

It seems barely advertised, but should be interesting, and luckily only 25 minutes from my house :hihi:

Have you noticed the logo change too? no more "Buchla & asosciates" but "Buchla Electronic Music Instruments"

perhaps this is why BEMI service stinks right now for these changes?

I don't think that line reads as a new redesign of the 200e but rather as a completion of the 200 redesign he started 10 years ago when he first put out the 200e. This suggests to me that the 252e is one of the last Don designed 200e modules to be released and then Don is moving on to new projects?

I think this is some sort of auto-fellate module whereby the end user gets so excited he actually fellates himself at what he thinks the functions might be.

With no degree of certainty this module will eventually lead said user to self fellate at the fantasticalness of the inner workings and possibilities of what that user believes to be true when compared to the actual functions of this module.

Just guessing here.

Actually I think I already own a pair of these.

Thank you, Guido, for the sobering perspective on the whole "voltage control" McGuffin.

And for humorously suggesting that anybody would need an actual excuse to fellate themselves!
