All those pictures gave me a great idea on how to spend my salary (for the next ten years).

I had the Edelweiss 2 but no power until yesterday. Now I have the beginning of a nice Serge system!

I have more 200e, just need to figure out my case situation. I am enjoying the smaller setup though as it is powerful.

Love that setup! :drunkhomer: Very inspiring & close to where I would like to be in 1-2 years.

I wonder if I would miss my eurorack... is 10 panels of Buchla & 2 panels Serge such a bliss that I wouldn't care about anything else ;)

I end up dabbling in Euro every couple of years. I sold a nice, focused 6U of Euro to help pay for the Serge. I don't miss it one bit.
I have pure west coast, FX, Sampling/Sample Manipulation and Mangling, External Audio Processing and more in the Buchla.
The Serge can do West Coast, Subtractive Synthesis, Nice External Audio Processing etc.
I feel the workflows are superior in each of these systems to Euro and I find the sound quality to be more 3D (or some other hard to describe description about sound  )
I am working on my sequencing options for these systems currently.

Also, I have a Synthi on the way!

So, I am not worried about Euro at all.

Nice to see the setge in its new home and glad you are enjoying it.

And yes life is better without euro, there are sometimes temptations but euro is just too overwhelming with a constant barrage of choices and the interface/experience is just inferior.

Thanks, very nice to hear experiences on 4U vs Euro - especially when they coincide with my assumptions :stardance:

lovely fonik.

I'm tempted to build another RS 2 panel or 8 space 4x4 system. Love the full panel look just wish one had a RES EQ and no SSG.

You do not loose anything with 4x4, and there are no gaps between the Eurorack modules due to minimal tolerances. You just have a few more screws.

Still a slightly different aesthetic with different line spacing and extra screws, and full panels can be laid out differently in ways that wouldn't work in 4x4 (like the right half of that mantra, and la bestia II). 4x4 systems look more gridded. If the mantra or bestia had a RES EQ instead of a variable q vcf it would be perfect pair for the other. still might do that combo anyway but someone take notes if they do a bestia 3...

It's my Black Roman Easel! (208r V1) :hyper: Ever since I saw that they existed, I HAD to have one! It took over two years to get everything bought in various bits, parts and completed assemblies, and then built. I got impatient and sprayed the clearcoat on a humid day, so it got cloudy. maybe I'll re-do that in the future.
Big Props to fellow Wiggler jheronymo for building the 218r and the PSU board, and to SA Modular (contact fellow Wiggler weedywhizz) for the cases, end cheeks and internal wiring system; that keep my project well-packaged and looking great!

I’m going to bed.

It took an incredibly long time to sort this out in preparation for the completion of my Buchla format Klee and rehoused & repanelled Binary Zone.
Thanks to Knut for ModularGrid and to Doug @ Studio H for the buss repeaters. This would not have been possible without their services.

Will try to wrap up the Klee tomorrow.

End goal:

My 73-75 build is finally complete.

Managed to squeeze everything including the large accutronics tank and full sized power module into 2" shallow boats. Took some work and creativity to get it all to fit- it's one unit riveted together. Decided against LED mods as I think it looks cleaner without and this project was already a pain. Went with a Random*Source inspired color scheme and am happy with how it turned out.
