I listened to the podcast (was very enjoyable) but still am wondering how exactly the 208c will interact with the 200e bus/preset system. Looking forward to finding out more about this because I am considering a smaller system or rather making my system more modular via a couple of smaller systems.

so extra features like midi and lack of keyboard/aftertouch stuff aside, this will sound 100% identical to the Buchla Easel right guys? If so I'm sold

By end if this year! It’s really quite a wonderful extension of the Buchlidian
neural network paradigm, imho.
what on earth is the Buchlidian neural network paradigm?! Do tell.

Ok, busted...I was just being facetious! Drawing a fun and loose analogy comparing the complex cv matrix routings, clusterings and patternings of the Command Center to a neural network and suggesting that the 208c adds many more “synapses” to the network, thus extending its capabilities and potential... :hihi:

To enter the Buchlidian neural network, or get on the further bus, one must lick the red panel.

And remember - you are only as good as your neural network modulation sources. :guinness:

Is the 208c program card slot pinout compatible with the other 208s and existing cards ?

I'm not a synths dealer and I'm not aware of an inexpensive Synthi secret market, please don't ask me if I know one for sale.

Pitch control over the oscillators, both independently and unison.

Individual triggering of SVS, EG, Pulse, Random

CC control over the mod depth and timbre sliders

Aftertouch will translate to the purple "pressure" jacks.

CC assigned to the From card banana.

CC control of portamento rate.

Just preordered the Command Module (desktop) through Buchlas website. Really looking forward to it.

Has there been any more info/updates on shipping etc since the Kickstarter launch? It says that the 208c will begin shipping in December, and the desktop version in January. Since we're in December now, any updates for the ones that preordered the 208c?

Haha, yeah right? Well, I'm sure they will deliver as soon as possible. But it's not uncommon with delays and stuff down the road. I was more just wondering if the Kickstarter folks have gotten any updates recently.

EDIT: just had a listen to the Buchla-podcast with Eric Fox further up in the comment section. He seems pretty confident it'll be ready for shipping by the end of the year.

Last week I caved in and ordered an Easel Command from Schneiders. :sb:

They were hesitant in terms of committing to a delivery date (understandably) but did say that they are expecting the easels to arrive some time end of January. I waited about 7 months for my other easel so I'll be happy if it arrives by March and I'll consider myself lucky if I receive it prior to mid February.

Edit: At 3:20 they show the back of the case! :omg: Thats the first glimpse that I got, felt like being a nine year old checkin out a centerfold..

Ignore the comment section.. I find it ridiculous and spiteful to hammer Joel for his presentation, mainly because this is not a presentation. It's an informal interview at a loud ass convention. It's probably one of many that he did that day..

Very nice to see some new footage of it, and especially of the back of the case. It's a bit unclear to me if the Easel Command comes with the USB-host or if that is only for the bundle with the Sensel Morph.

Joels enthusiasm towards the end is nice.

Why didn't Buchla have their own booth this year? As far as I know they only participated with others. Noisebug posted a cool audio example on their instagram. 208c in a larger system.

To me it seems obvious that the USB host functionality is an integral part of the 208 Command. He only mentioned the Sensel Morph as an example.

But why did they not ask him when they'll finally start shipping?

I think they wrote something on their FB about the host functionality being a optional thing. Also, on the preorder page the bundle option specifically mentions the USB A (host) is included, but the Easel Command doesn't. A bit confusing, to me at least..

But yeah, I was hoping they would let us know where they are production and shipping wise.

Awesome! Glad to finally get a peak of that backside and I think joel did a good job, but they left us hanging on the shipping date!
