Thanks LVU, that’s a pretty nice system you’ve got. Yeah I totally hear you regarding the analog sound and 200e CV. The 259r is something I think I’d have a hard time letting go of, I’ll probably keep it around in a small boat.

Another question for the system design enthusiasts: in a small system, how important is a dedicated mixer?

I’m going with the 225e for presets, I’ve got the rest of the basics pretty much planned out. But I’m wondering if a 207e is a good idea, or something less straightforward like a CSR or 291e

I’m planning on booting the 206e out of the case and just using CSR for mixing and audio out. I’ll let you know how it works out.

Yes, that's possible, but the thing is you lose stereo output without the mixer.

Good point. Couldn't you use two channels of CSR for stereo? You'd lose your ability to do easy panning of course.

? CSR has 7 in and 5 out. You’d only lose stereo if you decided to not route it that way.

Yeah it seems like stereo out wouldn’t be a huge issue, maybe a bit less ergonomic but no less doable. Although I can’t imagine how to set up VC panning with the CSR without using a few channels of 292 or some other VCAs.

I think the Hordijk system uses this approach with Node Proc as the only mixer (afaik)
