Put your Album Release into this Thread!

Post by evs » Mon Feb 22, 2016 6:48 am

hi everyone,

i just realised that i miss a lot of threads here, and i´m allways interested in new and strange music i can buy..:-)
also, i´m not that much interested in just single tracks, so i don´t want to click every thread in this "your tunes" forum to find the albums..

what i would think would be a good idea, is to have one thread (this thread!) where everyone can put their latest album release in..
(so if you have responded to this thread you will get emails that there is something new..)

(of course, this does not mean you should not start your own new thread!)

so, if you share your release, please do this:

1. name of artist and album
2. some soundcloud or bandcamp integration so we can listen to it,
3. please post a link where one could buy it,
4. which medium (tape, vinyl, cd, digital), and
5. maybe share some insights and infos!

hope you will join in! :guinness:

Good idea, I'll join:

[bandcamp width=100% height=120 album=2195789479 size=large bgcol=ffffff linkcol=0687f5 tracklist=false artwork=small]

This is from August of last year, availabe as digital and cassette. Its a quiet album, written in hotel rooms and temporary apartments on tape and cassette. I have been told its great to fall asleep to.

Well, it's been posted elsewhere but since you´re inviting me... :)

All of my releases (as of now a single, two EPs and two albums) are available for streaming/download on bluetowermusic.org, the website where I publish my different projects! Here's SoundCloud teasers (I don't upload most of my music there anymore since I find that SoundCloud fucks with the sound):

[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/246756054" params="auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true" width="100%" height="450" iframe="true" /]

[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/246913792" params="auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true" width="100%" height="450" iframe="true" /]

[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/247771414" params="auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true" width="100%" height="450" iframe="true" /]

[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/248173898" params="auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true" width="100%" height="450" iframe="true" /]

Nothing for sale, all for free! I have a few more albums and EPs more or less ready for publishing, ranging from video game inspired synth stuff to noisy rock... I will be adding at least an album a week to bluetowermusic.org for a little while.

Blue Tower Music

If I had a Moog I'd trade it for a Roland.

I recorded three albums designed for cassette and digital release in 2015.

MUQARNAS was made with a focus on repetition thru various means (mostly delayed synths and manually looped/triggered drums). The two embedded tracks were based on chopping samples (with monome aleph) into rhythmic frames.
[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/247387969" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]

CEBU was the title of an ep released as part of split tape. The theme I got asked to work with was “water/tropics” and the first three tracks (Ino, There is one above us, Tayals) were one long session while exploring no-input mixing. The two I’m embedding made the feedback patch sing in ways that surprised me.
[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/215273446" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]

O, W was wide ranging improvised stuff but my favorite songs were rollz 5 beats like micrudrift, plow, and ta-dg.

Here’s something I did recently:

https://soundcloud.com/timgraubaek/2015 ... te-project

It’s sort of an experiment that turned into an album. Instead of recording into the computer, I recorded on stereo cassette tape and then brought it into the computer for some basic editing.

There are more details over here: viewtopic.php?t=152692

It’s not for sale anywhere, but if anybody is interested in a (DIY) cassette, I'd love to trade for your cassette... Shoot me a PM.

Well, since we're all pimping our tracks, I might as well share my latest collection of Music Easel compositions. Ten songs, each records in one take using the Easel and Timeline. Free to download.

The conclusion, when all has been heard, is:
Fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil. (Solomon)

It's my 42nd Birthday today and I'm releasing two collaborative releases with my friend Joe Musgrove that I believe to be the best things we've ever done.

This is mostly ambient with musique concréte.
[bandcamp width=100% height=120 album=1320728603 size=large bgcol=ffffff linkcol=0687f5 tracklist=false artwork=small]

Nord Modular is heavily featured along with mixers, contact microphones, old radios, turntables etc...

This is more varied and percussive.
[bandcamp width=100% height=120 album=3604542088 size=large bgcol=ffffff linkcol=0687f5 tracklist=false artwork=small]

Push 2 is the primary instrument - using it like a Fairlight to sample old records and contact microphone objects. Joe is also making "beats" in Audiomulch.

I also blogged about the releases here.

It would be great if you could check them out.

This is my second EP - all modular, abstract cinematic music for vivid day-dreaming and armchair voyages

Doesn't look like the SC link displays the whole playlist here, but further material available on the SC page or on the Bandcamp/DL page

It's mastered by Shawn Hatfield

"Nightvoices" includes Australian night sounds meticulously recorded by Jeremy Hegge

I just finished my first modular album. Except for the acoustic piano and chopped up break beats, 99% of the sounds are from my eurorack.

I hesitated to post this as it's pre-modular (apart from some odd sound effects) but as I just found a few random copies in an old box I thought I'd offer to send one to anyone who wants one, maybe if you pay postage or something, maybe not, just send me your address via PM... (I'd quite like rid of them TBH!)

This seemed like a good place to mention this, even though it's not really on the net and ready to go!

It's all cut'n'paste stuff I was doing a few years ago, I think there maybe some clips on that page... So, not new, certainly not my latest release, but sort of new in that I just found them again!
