Just released a few new ones at Bandcamp.

Lots of MU modular, real mellotron and analogue synths, no computers or software.
Cheers

I've done a few COVID-era releases so far:

"Prismatic Studies" came from an attempt to figure out how to make music using just my Pittsburgh Modular Microvolt 3900 and effects. Every track is a single layer without overdubs or edits, made w/o any midi.

"The Burbles" is sort of a similar idea but all modular, with the two voices being driven by a shift register

and finally, "20200508" (I'm not great at naming things) started as a Youtube stream to demonstrate a variation of the main patch I used on The Burbles. I reduced my rack to 90hp and was trying to see what I could get out of it. It ended up being my favorite recording so far, so I turned it into a release.

Here's that one on Youtube if you prefer to watch.

My new EP Bliss RD dropped this morning on biblioteka records. I kept to a small setup on this one and used exclusively a Roland 909, a 9 unit eurorack setup, a korg MS20 and a Jupiter 6. Find it on all streaming platforms! Hope everyone here digs it!

Hello everyone,

I am releasing an EP of "electronic dance music" titled 061920 this Friday on Bandcamp.

All of the tracks were recorded over the last few days at home live to mono using the Koma Elektronik Field Kit with no edits or comping.

Bandcamp will be donating it's share of all sales to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and I will be joining them in donating all proceeds as well.

Hi everyone. I recently released the album Three by 15 on Bandcamp. It consists of three 15 minute tracks composed from material recorded during live improvised performances in Madrid and Reykjavik. Among the technology I used are one brand systems from Make Noise and Verbos Electronics, 0-Coast and Volca Modular as well as field recordings recorded in both the US and Greenland. The concerts were originally performed in quad surround but were mixed in stereo for the release.

Here's a generous review that Chuck van Zyl of Star's End Ambient Radio wrote about Three by 15: http://www.starsend.org/ThreeBy15.html

Hope you'll enjoy.

Hey all, nice idea to see this thread. I don't think I spotted this last time I popped into Muffwiggler.
Here is my contribution, one for early Warp fans, think early Aphex, Autechre, Global Communication, and that early to mid 90's studio sound.

Following the thread format:

1. Tape for mates
2.

3. https://tapesformates.bandcamp.com/ to buy anything.
4. It' digital format but if we become mates I might throw you a tape somewhen.
5. Tape for mates is just me (no artist name) collecting some of the music I share with mates, think early Aphex, Autechre, Global Communication, and that early to mid 90's studio sound. This used to be something I did years ago in the 90's, throwing lots of recent tracks onto a tape, often with other artists I was listening to at the time, sometimes a complete copy of a tape of random stuff, sometimes a few times I wrote stuff specifically for that person directly to tape. So much of this music has since been lost, either buy myself or the friends I received them. I have found some uploaded as 02, 03 and 04, which are from the 90's. Other uploads are resisting that approach and trying to understand it more. Looking back to go forward. Attached a picture of the sort of tapes I would make.

Happy to chat more about it and answer any questions or better yet suggested music you think I might like.

Cheers

Martin

Hey everyone! This time, I'm sharing someone else's music that I was really honoured to be able to mix.

Here's 'Barsa-Kelmes' from Galya Bisengalieva's upcoming album 'Aralkum' on One Little Independent - formerly One Little Indian. Should be out in September.

Link to music video on 4:3 : https://fourthree.boilerroom.tv/film/ga ... rsa-kelmes
Bandcamp: https://olirecords.bandcamp.com/music

The album deals with the environmental disaster in the Aral Sea region - one of the worst in history, and one that is still affecting the region to this day. There is also some incredible electro-acoustic textures and a really great arc.

Hope you enjoy!

p.s. apols for double post :)

I am very happy to announce the release of my new album, Recursive, with the emerging Dutch label, Ambientologist. It’s now available for download on Bandcamp, and streaming on Spotify and Apple Music.

This is mainly modular compositions with Ableton used for smoothing out the edges, mixing and mastering. I also made this video for the lead single, "theme song for ecological collapse."

Hope you enjoy!

My new LP :)

"This album is my expression of love to the 5U format modular synthesizers, reel-to-reel recorders and to the pulsating music that emerged in Germany in the early 70s.

With these songs I hope to radiate the ecstatic joy of making (electronic) music, encourage listeners to try new ideas and spread creative energy. Overall, I like to think that these things are the substance of the kosmische music.

The first song of this album is a salute to the Trout Mask Replica, that has just had its 50th year anniversary. I guess it’s funny to begin a synth-album with a guitar solo. Rest of the songs echo more or less my influences from the krautrockers."
