An Unapologetic Ode to Rings

Post by mantid » Fri May 04, 2018 11:31 am

It may or may not feel like cheating, but I bought Rings because I love to listen to it do its ring-thing... Here it is playing rather nicely (imho) with Kamieniec and a little bass-drum propulsion from 0-coast:

Like a time-stretched psychotropic sitar.

Thanks for listening - I like to let patches like this run for quite a while as I'm working.

Time-stretched sitar is really on the money, that's exactly what it sounds like. :)

In trying to figure out something meaningful to say I had an image that evokes the soundtrack of LoZ: The Wind Waker or some Zelda game's dungeon. I specifically imagine the Potion Shop music in Wind Waker with it's sitar sounds, if someone turned that into a dungeon theme. Very cool recording.
