Here is a song using the classic Grendel Drone Commander, one of the most expressive instruments I have ever used..

I didn’t even know this thing existed! You’re getting some great sounds out of it. Congratulations.

Thanks! It’s a really special drone synth that is wildly expressive! Highly recommended, I guarantee there are many that agree.. it’s not a workhorse, but what it does well, there is no substitute.

Nice one. Which sound is the grendel?

Everything you hear from the start is the Grendel except the added four on the floor bass pulse (sub37) and later percussion. it’s two tracks of it with some Eventide Pitchfacter controlling the pitch and also adding delay.. so it’s mostly Grendel throughout..

Wow. It almost makes me want to sell my Lyra and get a grendel.

Well I wouldn’t sell the Lyra! I have always wanted to work with one.. the Grendel is an excellent tool to have, not perfect for all situations, but is so fun to jam with.. it’s a drone that keeps a constant pulse, which is great..
