some fun with plaits, mysteron, warps, inspired by a friend working on a noise opera with his collective

mostly nonsense, but I was into it when I was recording it :D

I just built my first few modules.
I made two of them on Stripboard:
A 8 step sequencer which is basically a Baby8 with some additions

and a Clock incl. Clock Divider with a switchable Output for odd Messures (3,5,6,7). I also included NOT-Gates to create some kind of "offbeat-gate" which is nice.

I also built some modules on PCBs from Barton:
Analog Drum
DAN
VCA/Mixer
Quadtrapezidoal LFO

Here's a little jam or something with them and my Behringer Neutron:

That Neutron sounds great. Didn't sound that offbeat to me. Had a good solid groove.

:sb: :goo:  ok, it's saturday. and i think i'm some going TO MAKE SOME FUCKING NOISE (and record it too, in some fashion or another, as proof... and publish it here, although that might not actually happen until sunday or monday...)!

:miley: i've lost count of the saturdays that have ended with the sentiment that i *should* have made some fucking noise, but alas... anyways, we'll see.

cheers

UPDATE 1: the instrumentation will be a Knas Ekdahl Polygamist semi-modular synthesizer being controlled with a Koma Elektronik Komplex sequencer.

No modular in this, but I certainly still had fun.

sure OK. Well, I'm learning VCV and modular techniques. Mostly having fun, these are experiments I put together this weekend.

I recorded this one in a bit of a rush - perhaps a little clipped, but I'm a long way from worrying about pristine mixing yet. I'm starting to get to the point where I can patch the kind of sounds I want to make, though I'm still making the same kind of "hands free"/"set and forget" patches where I don't actually have to "perform".

It's not Saturday, but here's some noise that doesn't deserve its own thread.

I'm in self quarantine because I had to fly a week and half ago, and I'm trying to record a track every day I'm stuck at home. Well, every day since I figured out my recording setup. I'm very new to modular, this is the first thing I've made that doesn't actively suck.

Main sound is PO-12 -> Typhoon in resonator mode. Crunchy background is STO -> MMG -> Rings -> Plague Bearer mostly controlled by the envelope generated from the pocket operator.

Most notable modules used were the Make Noise Soundhack Echophone, Erbeverb, Morphagene & Mimeophone.
