This device is really turning out to be one of those things that I had high hopes for and not only did it deliver, but it still has many undiscovered tricks up its sleeve.

Here's one from a week or so ago, "Protozoa".

Unedited -(it needs it). Several passes through a Wiard 300 series set of related patches, basic linear FM to a low pass gate with stereo panning.

Everything is in step as I used a midi clock to the Wiard and then used one of the envelators as a frequency divider - tweaked that by hand as the patch ran. Also tweaked a sequantiser for the pitch.

I came in your ears too early...

[bandcamp width=350 height=470 album=622417814 size=large bgcol=ffffff linkcol=0687f5 tracklist=false]

A combination of Kent and snow prompted a little release...

Bugbrand and Buchla to varying degrees (one track cheats and has an xpander, LD2 and MDUW on it too, otherwise it's pure modular). Lots of cross patching between the two systems, the patch in the pic below formed the basis of 3 of these I think...

Image

So yeah, somewhere between tracks and jams, with some bonus drone action thrown in for those that go the distance. I've also added the set to my muffwiggler page, where you can grab the mp3 if you so wish. Flacs can be had from my bandcamp...

Eleven sines. Which is, er, Eleven Sines. Simple tremelo sine recorded running through a Wiard Omni filter which provide the spatial effects and shifts.

My addition to this thread:

an overheard conversation between a E350 and a Piston Honda, recorded mono through a Minifooger Delay into a Marantz PMD tape recorder.

here's my little contribution

Modcan 62A is the only oscillator used in the patch. Heavy use of the BugBrand crossover filter, filtering the DRM1/X

 I built the patch late afternoon, sounded good, sweet, right leave everything on and record it later. later is much later, been too busy (and I might of fallen asleep on the sofa) Hit record and got my Freak on, OK, not the best take but noisy as fuck and plenty of it, awesome, lets listen back. Oh shit, I had monitor and not record selected on the track........

:sadbanana:

I'l try again tonight.

Look forward to listening to everyones sounds.

This Saturday I was still working with a setup from earlier in the week and hadn't got to the tear it down stage, so what I recorded doesn't count as a noise track. But, hey.

This is a quick noisy patch. The Eardrill Pendulum/Ratchet is driving the pulses. The drip sounds are from channel B of the 291e being pinged by the tick from the P/R(via my banana-tinijax adapter) with the bandwidth all the way up. The frequency of this channel is being swept around by a random voltage from channel B of the 266e. This is also panning the 259e around which is going in to channel A of the 291e with its 8 stages being cv controlled by channel A of the 266e. Both channels A and B of the 291e are being frequency modulated by the dual oscillator 158. The attach and decay of the 281e that is controlling stage A of the 292e, which the 259 is going through, are being controlled by stages E and F of the 266e. The 261e is going through the 285e BM section. The internal frequency of the 285e BM is being controlled by stage D of the 266e.
