how does this compare to the COTK ratchet module? i was considering one of those but it seems like its nearly impossible to make an order with them.

Knob, yes. Capacitive, no. Just thought it looked cool with the layout.

Gotcha, but it clicks like a button? Also what's the difference between trigger and ping?

Quantity is a stepped encoder with a push button.

Ping sets the "base" tempo (like tap tempo), and Trigger starts the burst / ratchet at that tempo (or multiple or division depending on the position of the Time knob + Time CV)
