I was wondering this as well. Bruce is a great guy, and I hope all is improving for him. I have seen a couple more Euro modules trickle out after we first heard something was wrong, so I was wondering if this is a positive indication, or if maybe someone else was handling the Euro versions. :cloud:

I got an email from him at the end of last month responding to my inquiry about A format orders. He said he was a ways off from filling A orders, but maybe in the new year... I didn't ask about the other formats, though.

Anybody heard from Bruce? I hope he's doing better. It would be great if he's well enough to start up again.

some european dealer was posting about having new modcan euro in stock. seemed odd to me but that'd be great to have something going!!!. i know bruce planned on getting it all back up and running. but implied another year of rehab to me a short while back.

minisystem wrote:Hey guys, just wanted to address some of the recent rumours and conjecture surrounding Modcan. I'm one of several people that have been helping out Bruce over the last year or so. We've been working hard to get Modcan modules back in the market. I can say for sure that Quad LFOs are on their way. These are new production and will be available from distributors soon. I know 'soon' is frustratingly vague, but I'm afraid I can't be anymore specific.

The plan is to get other Modcan modules to market as well and the Dual Delay is definitely a priority.

I know that 'official' information about the status of Modcan has been scarce over the last couple of years. Bottom line is that things are happening and more official information is coming soon.
This was in a Eurorack Modules forum thread on Oct 18.

This shouldn't be that difficult to do, as whichever company is stuffing the boards is probably also assembling the module (attaching the faceplate and knobs), as this is what most euro manufacturers have done for them by outside companies. I wouldn't think that Modcan does any of the assembly, although they may do some QC on each batch.

These are not hand assembled like his 5U modules.
For Sale/Trade: 14U 84 hp Euro case . Willing to trade towards MU Modules, Moogerfooger pedals, Minifooger pedals, and other interesting effects boxes that work well with modular, try me!

there you have it. so that is definitely substantiated. euro moving fast. hope 5u gets in the mix somehow again. that would set my worldview back into proper closer alignment. ;)
